The ride started out just peachy. The three kids all had their own horses and it was nice easy trail riding on the horses. When the kids started loosing the reins repeatedly, it was a bit tiresome to hold things up and wait while the horses were hemmed in and the reins handed back. The guide did what he could with a smile and encouragement. The problem was that one horse got too close to another and reared back and kicked --twice, once connecting with my daughter's leg. Things were calmed down, including me, but when we got back the stables response was we're sorry but that's how horses are. Not one suggestion, idea or thought of how to smooth things over after paying the $40 bucks a person. Your horse kicks my child and I get "sorry"? What about a refund stable people? What about offering her a free t-shirt or a honorary cowboy badge or anything to restore her faith that horses are not bloodthirsty creatures or to have her forget that "Helen and Chattahoochee stables is where that horse tried to kill me!"
There are ways to handle situations so people feel better about problems that will inevitably happen. This time Chattahoochee stable fell...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFailure from the beginning. No greetings just find your way and do what youāre told-But expect to know all the rules even if they donāt make sense, humph! Frustrating place. This is NOT horseback riding. Didnāt get to even be in the front or back with my partner, all mixed up though the family came from afar to do this together. You shall not pass! Donāt even try to get out of line and be next to your partner you will be scolded and talked about the remaining ride around the muddy pits and can admire but some beauty of a view as you ride 1 hr in a property loop single file and cannot even trot! These were the kids horses we were told from the beginning, felt as if we were on a pony wheel indeed. Most boring ride ever. Most interestingly enough were were told from the beginning of you ride and die itās not our fault-like wow, thatās sweet. You could put a toddler on these horses and they could guide themselves. Seems we were more of an invasion to keeping their pets fed by allowing us to pony them around. No asking to take photos or pet the animals or anything at anytime not a goodbye or thank you. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am very disappointed with this experience. We came all the way from Peachtree City to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Her wish was to ride a horse through water, as we did once before. We called and asked specifically if the ride went through the water and we were told YES, the ride went through two bodies of water (apparently) We asked that question a a few times just to make sure. We confirmed and booked the 1-hour ride expecting a ride as described, but it didn't. All we saw were bushes, mud piles, and a less than a minute ride near the river that could be barely seen. Only scenic view of Blue Ridge Mountain for a few minutes. 1-hour ride was $60 x person, 3 people, and did not match what was promised or expectations. Wasted our $$$, our day, and our daughter's birthday wish, for her special day!! Could have picked somewhere else if only they were clear about what to expect about the ride. She was very disappointed and so were we!! Do you know you guys ruined her bday wish?
The guide was nice, polite, and friendly, but that was it. I would not spend my time and $ here ever again. Very...
