I recently had the pleasure of dining at Harvest Habersham, a hidden gem tucked away in the mountains of Georgia. Located at 2220 Georgia Highway 17 in Sautee, this quaint and small dinner spot exceeded all expectations and left me truly amazed. As soon as I stepped foot into Harvest Habersham, I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The small, old crafted home added a touch of charm and character to the dining experience. It felt like stepping into a cozy haven, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What truly sets Harvest Habersham apart is their commitment to sourcing ingredients directly from local farmers, foragers, and fishermen. The result is a menu that changes daily, offering one-of-a-kind meals that showcase the freshest and most flavorful ingredients. As someone with gluten sensitivities, I was thrilled to discover that they offer a generous number of gluten-free options, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their culinary delights. Behind the scenes, a one-man show runs the kitchen, and let me tell you, he is doing a fabulous job. The chef's passion and skill shine through in every dish that is served. The food at Harvest Habersham is nothing short of exquisite. From the first bite to the last, each dish is a masterpiece, carefully crafted with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. I had the pleasure of visiting Harvest Habersham as part of my partner's birthday celebration weekend, and it was truly a memorable experience. The moment we sat down, we were greeted with impeccable service and a sense of tranquility that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the dining experience. My partner was blown away by the exceptional food, and I couldn't agree more. If you're looking for a place to escape the noise and find peace and quiet, while indulging in phenomenal food, Harvest Habersham is the place to be. The combination of the serene mountain setting, the warm and inviting atmosphere, and the outstanding culinary creations make it a destination worth visiting. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreCould not have dreamt of a better last dinner in Sautee Nacoochee than here at Harvest Habersham. The entire team was incredibly kind, hospitable, warm, and helpful here. The service was impeccable! We were taken care of so wonderfully! They were even so gracious in accommodating my lactose deficiency that I didn't feel I was missing out. And the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was gloriously fresh and supportive of local farms as much as possible. As my husband said, "There is no way to substitute fresh ingredients".
We started with delightful cocktails, summer squash and ground cherry salad and grilled peach, then dove into the grilled ronde de nice squash and cornmeal dusted trout accompanied by a lovely wine (my husband was quite thrilled with the recommended pairing), and ended with coffee, buttermilk panna cotta and cashew chocolate crazy cake. Truthfully, we were VERY full from the small and large plates, but because everything was outstandingly scrumptious, we beseeched our stomachs to take one for the team and proceeded to order desserts. We could not resist nor were we disappointed at all. We did not regret feeling like we wanted to roll ourselves to the car afterwards. Every bite was worth it.
What a beautiful, warm establishment! Apologies for the pictures that do not do the food justice. The small plates were so delectable that we forgot to take pictures before diving in. We did manage to resolve to at least document the large plates. We are now seriously considering visiting Sautee Nacoochee for every season to experience the seasonal offerings.
P.S. Google Review only offers a few of the dishes as options to recommend. If Google Reviews made the menu items available as recommended options, I would sincerely select every single item...
Read moreDrove 45min to eat here again and arrived 810pm.. website said 9pm. Lady would not seat me. Really? Obviously they do not need the business. So I am currently eating at the attic and they had no issue seating me. You just lost a 120.00 tab harvest.
I arrived at 810, it took you 12 min to notice me obviously due to lack of staff. The time before this we ate there your Au Jus was so salty we had to send the main course back in fear of a heart attack. The fact that any business would stop seating before their closing date is stupid. We eat at the top places in Atlanta every week. Bones, Chops, Canoe, and all the buckhead members... Average tab pps 150+ and they seat people. Obviously you do not need the money nor care about people eating at your location. This is fine really. The Attic next door has great food and is never over salted, will seat you up till 930 (their closing time), without issue. To say I have no restaurant etiquette is funny. And you don't have to take me serious based on my google name, but one thing is certain... The amount of rentals we have up in Helen, Cleveland, Clarksville area, you can bet we will not recommend your place when the attic next door is more appealing. Oh, and the other time we came up well before 8, you had doors closed for a private party... that wasn't on the website.. So we all ate next door that time too. Maybe you should start keeping your doors open more and maybe you will have more than 28 reviews! And I really do hope my bashing name will have far reaching consequences. Every liberal out there needs to be bashed. Call me when you want to discuss dedication.. I work 16-18 hour days, your place is open less time than a talk show host in Atlanta, you do not know what credibility and...
