I usually don't write these reviewas but this case is the exception. The initial purchase was fine. Wayne was helpful. The delivery was great. After The refrigerator was set up I placed A thermometer in it to make sure that it was cooling properly. About a month after purchase my daughter left the fridge door cracked, the inside temp. Was a bit warm. I closed the door and went about my day. When I returned later I notice that the temperature did not get down to the proper cooling level. The next day it was still above 50゚ I moved the food to a spare refrigerator in the basement and called ace appliance and spoke to Wayne to set up a repair visit. I got a date 8 days later. I thought it was a bit long but I guess I had to wait my turn. The night before my appointment, I got a call from the service technician telling me he probably won't make it. He has other people he has to service. I thought the main reason I had an appointment was to avoid things like this. He said if I DONT hear from him sometime tomorrow he's not coming. So that had me waiting most of the day waiting to hear something. I called Wayne inquiring, he pointed me to the tech. I called the tech, he pointed me to Wayne. No one showed. I took off work for this. I called Wayne back and set up another appointment for Thursday the following week. Took off again. Got a call from Wayne in the morning saying someone is on the way. Then the tech called Thursday morning asking for the model number l, I gave it to him. He got back to me saying the part he suspects I need is out of stock and it's expensive and he won't be coming by. Directed me to Wayne again to voice my concerns. I asked about the warranty. 6 months he told me but. it was my fault the fridge was not cooling by leaving the door open. And I should just buy another fridge. I complained a bit more Then he decided on replacing the fridge with a comparable one. Told me he would get back to me in a few minutes to set up a delivery date. It's the following week now and I have yet to get that call back. I'm done with this place. Buyer be ware. Once they get your money you will not get any assistance...
Read moreI bought several used appliances from them when I bought my home. I thought that I got a pretty good deal, until... Not a pleasant buying experience at ALL! The refrigerator maintained a smell for WEEKS! The dryer broke shortly after. They did come out I fix it after repeatedly threatening me a high repair bill, if it was a clogged exhaust, even though I explained that it was a new installation with no outside opening for the bird nests he said was probable clogging it! 6 months later, when the dryer broke again, he repeated his assumptions that my exhaust was probably clogged. And wanted to charge me $150 more to re-fix it! When I protested he hung up on me! VERY misogynic atmosphere, both in their decidedly male "Showroom" & on the phone for service, which you will need, because they don't care about their appliances any more than they do...
Read moreWish I could give a 0 star bought a dryer lasted 3 days tried to say was a power issue in the house bought a brand new dryer works fine. Owner has no people skills at all even wanted to get aggressive when wanted refund. Tech changed his story once he got in front of owner which shows even employees scared to be up front with him. Suggest if want good customer service and reliable appliances bypass this place not worth it. Mr Wayne hope we run in again somewhere where I'm not out numbered outcome will be different....wish I would have read reviews first wow what a joke...
