El Cabrito Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Glen Burnie

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. When our waitress brought the chips, I asked if they had taco sauce for them, and she told me they didn’t. I then placed our order: a beef taco salad with lettuce, tomato, and cheese, and we requested beans and rice on a separate plate. We also ordered a side of rice with cheese dip.

I had to repeat my order three times because the waitress struggled to understand English. It was clear that many of the staff had difficulty communicating in English, which made ordering frustrating.

About 20 minutes later, a gentleman brought out our food — but it wasn’t what we ordered. Instead of beef, they gave us steak. And instead of cheese dip, we were given feta cheese. When I explained the issue, the gentleman understood and brought the correct cheese dip, telling me the waitress had written "feta" instead. I also had to get up and find my own napkins and silverware.

When I told the waitress that I had asked for beef, not steak, she replied, “We don’t have beef,” which was never mentioned when we ordered. The only part of our order that was correct was the two Cokes.

The communication barrier made the experience frustrating, and the staff really need to familiarize themselves with the menu in English for non-Spanish-speaking guests. Sadly, we won’t be returning. The only reason I gave 1 star is because there’s no option...

I went for the first time and I had one of the best experience ever with our bartender Brayan he knew how to make my drink perfectly and it was really good I ended up having two of them he is definitely the definition of a great bartender. I really hope they appreciate his job because he does a really good job being a bartender. If you wanna go and get a nice drink I will definitely recommend to and go to the bar area. First time here and 💯 recommend! I went with a girl friend, we had a Michelada which was delicious (Bryan was the bar tender and he gave us fantastic service)and some tripe tacos! It was all delicious, I loved the corn tortillas the tacos were served on, hand made and they were fresh and had a crispiness to them that I loved! We like our tripe extra crispy and that’s how they were served, they were delicious! Will be back regularly...
