I go way back with this place, almost 6 years now. I've known the owner since I was an 18 year old community college student not far from his consignment store. I played at this field on opening day when the staging area was an empty room with picnic tables and only a tarp between you and the active playing field. There where no walls and barely any cover, an open warehouse with chest high cover at best scattered around. The progress made has been incredible. Since then he's created and extended staging area, put in plenty of tables, chairs, and a lounge area with TV's. He's moved all his airsoft products from the consignment store to the arena to have a built in pro shop that has essentials and some accesories and guns. He's walled off the staging area and store to make it a much safer place to be and increased his safety standards as well as gained an attentive staff with great accountability. He's installed an elevated second story platform inside the arena with another platform on the opposite side of the arena on the way. Giving it a sort of classic video game feeling reminiscent of Quake or Team Fortress in a way. The arena has been set up in a way that allows staff to change it's layout drastically almost every other week with new designs and styles of play every time. A dense and clustered maze of tight corners and dozens of angles, A room by room killhouse, Or a video game like experience of competitive balancing between tight corners, long angles to control, and pockets of tight maneuvering spaces to lose pursuers and outflank the enemy. The innately linear layout of the field funnels you into the fight and makes sure that you have to win every corner you turn, piece of cover you advance to, and every angle you secure. The players are competitive and play aggressively, leaving everything on the field and really trying for the win. Often times all it takes me is 5 seconds doing strategy with my team before a round and we're working as a unit, the players feel compelled to work as a team more than any other field i've been to. The community of usuals is usually welcoming to new faces. Whether they're first time players, beginner players just new to the field, or experienced hobbyists trying the place out for the first time. Their new tech is an especially perfect addition to the staff, as I've never gotten work on my guns done faster than his work. Gone are the days of waiting a week for a spring change, I've turned in a GBBR and he had completly assembled and replaced the hopup unit and done some tuning on it for me within hours. I've never gotten to turn my gun in for work, and still get to play with it the same day. If buying used guns is your thing, Replay is the place to be. It has a built in community of techs and enthusiasts with allot of knowledge available around the room from a diverse spectrum of airsoft playstyles and products. It's to the point where you even recognize the same gun being used by a new person week to week. I traded an MP7 and a glock there that i've seen in the hands of at least 4 other people, and an LM4 has gone through about 5 by now. The game modes are fresh and interesting, plenty of respawns wich means plenty of time on the trigger. The refs are engaging with players and have allot of guided interaction with the gameplay to keep the positive high energy going. They are incredibly attentive to the players on field and watching for any rules to be broken with excellent records on catching cheaters, and are great mediators for resolving conflicts.
Out of every airsoft field i've been to in Maryland, i've never been impressed or had a particularly good time playing. Maybe it's bias because of my history with the field and all the great times i've had on it, but when I rank my favorite field experiences for airsoft. Replay sits above even my excellent Ballahack experiences. It's a unique animal that can be polarizing to some people, but it's a craving no other...
Read moreDO NOT GET THEIR TIER 3 AND 4 GUNS . Had came a w a group of ppl. When I first arrived I had got checked in by the owner im guessing, bald head white guy. I had let him know this was my 2ND TIME coming since the first time LAST YEAR and expressed my liking of the place so I came back. I paid over $70 bucks for the tier 4 gun which was told to me by a guy behind the counter would automatically switch to automatic since the selector lever was loose . It states in their policy that they dont allow automatic weapons. ( why have an option like that for ur guns then?) Well when the owner was going over the safety video I was still at the counter trying to get all my safety equipment since they never even gave a mask nor told me where the equipment was. By time I got my stuff they had started another game and so I jumped right in. Whole game im getting yelled at for using automatic when my gun was never in that mode or if it was, never purposely. Such things will happen if your running around in a compact area with lights off and a selector lever is loose. Its common sense. So towards the end of the first game, I had ran out of bbs so I had did everything I was told, take out mag, remove air, put on safe and went to fill up my mag + With my gun being tier 4 I was told to take it with me and not leave it on the rack. So I go up to the front and as im up there a guy from the arena comes out and doesnt say anything but removes my gun from the sling and snatches my gun out my hand, doesn't say anything and places it behind the counter. I had walked over to him and asked what it was for and then he states I had broken ”multiple rules”( shooting automatic, not getting cleared to get bbs, and taking my gun w me) and that I CANT PLAY anymore. Mind you as this is going on there were little kids shooting automatic and they know it, ppl leaving the arena and everything. He specifically targeted me.
The staff doesn't explain things right leaving customers to guess what to do then they yell at them. They are plain disrespectful , yelling in people face, going back in forth with a customer repeatedly after I told him to stop as I was speaking to the owner. They think they are superior when they are nerds who fantasize over FAKE guns lol. Making the playing experience not even fun. Also asking them to replay camera footage since they promote security/ safety, is a lie they don't. Never even investigating, the owner doesnt want to make his guys look bad in front of customers so he disregards/ignores what I say and his answer is “ a refund”. . WELL OF COURSE lmao ! I will never come back nor tell anyone about this place if I do I will be gladly share my experience. I came w my family to enjoy time w them, why would I do such things to not be...
Read more3 Points: Their amount of stock, the arena, and the staff.
The stock: They really don't have that much, only basic stuff. BBs, green gas, batteries, and chargers. I think they have guns for sale as well but I'm not really sure. Apparently they restock on Mondays, so you have to come in on Wednesday to get stuff if this is the best option you've got. That being said Wednesday is adult night so I'm not sure if just anyone can buy things at that time? Maybe safer to come in on Thursday.
The arena: The place is a pretty decent size to be honest, ideal for about 16 people in total. The layout can be unbalanced to certain teams in certain gamemodes but it's fine. Regardless, it isn't too unfair and it's always going to be fun. I really enjoy playing here. The staff do their best to switch up gamemodes and keep the game fresh, especially in regards to whoever is playing, if there are new players they keep it simple.
Staff: They are teenagers, and they are kinda the "weird kids", but don't get me wrong they are good people. Because of their age you kinda have to be agreeable to them and at that point they are very helpful, if you don't really try to they are just kinda eh. It's fine, some of them aren't even paid. Overall I like them but they are goofballs. If you need help with something they are decently quick to assist.
So all in all I like this place a lot, they can help with most things and the arena is great. If you want something specific though, definitely just order online because their...
