Glendale Lakes Golf Club — Local services in Glendale Heights

This is an excellent location for the price for a wedding. I originally worked with Nancy, but she retired partway through our reservation. I ended up working with Mike, who definitely put in great effort to ensure my day went smoothly.

I did the platinum package. The price you pay for food, an open bar, cake, flowers, tables, place settings, table clothes, napkins, etc. is amazing. I loved that everything was included through the venue, as it made it much easier to navigate everything and fewer vendors to interact with.

We chose to have our ceremony outdoors at the gazebo and rented chairs from an outside company (required for outdoor ceremony). It was a beautiful ceremony, and the venue drove me and my escorts over in golf carts to limit walking.

The venue hall was set up beautifully for my reception. Mike and his team did an amazing job, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.

I did have some moment of worry, as some of my information was lost in the transition between Nancy's retirement and Mike taking over. Recently played at the Glendale lakes golf club and although the facility and the equipments were per the expectations their pro shop crew can do better. I had a 6am tee time for which I got to the facility at 5:45am even with checking in online and paying up front. Upon getting to the facility I proceed to the pro shop as I saw an older gentleman working in there. As soon as I opened the door I was greeted with hostility, “we are closed, go wait outside. Even if you check in online you have to get a receipt so come back when we are open.” Although the intent of what he was saying was clear it could have been said in a better way. I went on to the putting green at which point another gentlemen told me to get a receipt so I can tee off. He also admitted that the pro shop man was being “grumpy” so this wasn’t just my observation.

If are not a morning person and can’t handle speaking politely to your guests than it’s time to either switch your jobs or make it a private facility.
