Southside Market — Local services in Glenns Ferry

Only leaving this review up until the manager finally contacts me.

Passing through on a road trip. I go in and put money on the pump. Tried to pump and didn’t work. I get the clerk she tries it and says how the pump is broken. So I don’t mind the wait and after about 20 min I got 8 bucks worth of gas. I go ahead and hang it up I figured the 8 would get me down the road.

The market charged me for the entire 33 bucks of gas! I call to sort it out and a clerk left me info for a manager to call me and the manager never called me back. I call again and another clerk says “oh I can’t do anything about that and the manager knows, she’s just not in and won’t be until Monday. and now it’s Saturday and I have to wait until Monday to try to call her back.

So you can’t figure out how to get me a refund from your broken gas pump? Until you feel like it?

I've been stopping in Glenns Ferry since 2012, when I first started driving from Nebraska to Oregon every year. It's a great stopping point in my journey.

Every time, though, I stop at the Southside Market. I absolutely love this place. The shelves are always stocked with everything you could possibly need for traveling. 5-Stars for the entire store!

Always a smiling face and kind words from the customers. I do like to say hi and to talk about how I love their town.

To the young lady at check out, keep smiling as you do and enjoy your Vanilla Pura vanilla beans. I hope your homemade vanilla turns out amazing, just like your customer service.

Kind friendly employees, store is pretty clean..2 stars for that. Other than that, I'd rather buy anything anywhere else if there was an option. Check expiration dates! (Explination at the end) The price of everything is extremely high, there was a time I went to check out and the girl working the register actually went back to check if the price was correct. Again, check expiration dates. That's the main thing, is a lot of their products are way way past their due date. I understand a few days.. maybe even a week but we're talking 6+months on some things. I get it, you're the only store in that part of the small town but no need to take advantage of the residents there. I only visit the town, but quickly learned to stock up on things I might need as I pass...
