In my entire life I have NEVER EVER felt more insulted or upset by any establishment in the US or abroad. I Visited this shop today with my husband following a nice beach walk and prior to lunch. I was in line waiting to purchase two small tins of what looked to be delicious olive oil. I waited there for fifteen full minutes while my husband waited across the street looking forward to lunch. I was not acknowledged as I waited and I saw my husband up the street. So I left to join him. After lunch a police officer alerted us that the owner accused us of stealing! Perhaps because as a school teacher I didn’t have the right “sneakers” or Luis Vuitton bag and my Marine Corps husband had a flannel shirt. At any rate, shame on you. Wonderful little Italian specialty store, right on Main St in Gloucester. We buy hand made pasta here regularly and it is some of the best we have had anywhere (including some of the best Italian restaurants in the country). Dannielle is the owner and makes the pastas, sauces and mozzarella herself. You can tell it is a labor of love. She also sells wonderful olives, canned goods and wonderful wines that are mostly organic! She is a wealth of information about food and is a very kind person.
