Cape Ann Harbor Tours — Attraction in Gloucester

My cousin and I just got off the King Eider from the Lighthouse Tour. It was gorgeous!!! From the water we saw places we had been earlier. Like we were on Good Harbor Beach and sat at the Fisherman's Memorial. It was so neat to see these from a different view. Capt Pete and 1st Mate Fisher were great sources of knowledge. One thing I wish had taken was a sweatshirt. It was unexpectedly chilly once we were out on the water. They sell water, beer, wine and snacks on the boat. I highly recommend Cape Ann Harbor Tours, especially their 2+ hour lighthouse tour. My friend and I indulged in this tour yesterday and were absolutely enchanted with the experience. It was so pleasant to be out on the water and the boat was comfortable and safe. The guide was great, friendly and full of information about the lore and history of Gloucester and the lighthouses, architecture, famous people, etc. but it was hard to hear her at times due to the noise of the motor. We had a beautiful day and went at high tide. It was a very nice tour around Cape Ann and back via the river. We saw lots of the Cape that we would have missed from the shore and had many opportunities to take pictures that could be be taken from dry land. The tour was nicely narrated by the 1st mate. (It's not mentioned until you are at the end of the tour that the 1st mate works mostly for tips so you should plan to have some cash with you. On our trip he did a very nice job and...
