Review from 2024: Since buying our Toyota here in 2019, we received warranty services here for two vehicles. Unfortunately, experience hasn't improved. Regular experience here is just blah; you're a burden to them (I'm low maintenance, which is why I return despite service issues.
Recently, I entered the vehicle bay, told them I had scheduled an appointment for tire rotation/oil change, and noticed the screen hanging on the wall said my tires were low on tread and my alignment was off (they have scanners/sensors you drive across getting into the garage). Right away the sales guy tried selling me tires and signaled someone to provide some estimates (the factory tires had less than 40K miles on them, which is disappointing). Then he proceeded to try to sell me an expensive oil change/tire rotation package that was significantly discounted, but still expensive; I refused. I looked at the tire estimates and selected a set, telling the sales guy I also wanted my alignment corrected. He asked if I wanted a car wash (they ask about 90% of the time and I agree 100% of the time they ask, but I get a car wash about 10% of the time, even though they claim they provide for free while under warranty) and I said yes. Then the tire sales guy returns, takes the original sheet, and says he gave me the wrong estimates, since my wheels are an inch larger than he assumed. I waited for the new estimates and selected another set. Then I went to the waiting room to work while waiting.
The sales guy came to talk to me and said the tires aren't at this location and that it'll take 30 additional minutes to obtain them from another location. Fine. Then he returned and said tire rotations are free for the life of the tires, which is odd, since he's just tried selling me a package including free tire rotations and oil changes at a steep price. Then I receive a text from another sales guy saying they damaged one of my wheels and that it's typically $150-175 to repair, so they could either take that much off today's bill or get it repaired for me. I took the former option, since these guys quote one price to get you out the door and then when you go to repair it, the cost is much higher. He said great and that he'd set up an appointment. Four hours later, my vehicle was done. I went to the counter to pay and saw nothing on my receipt about the damaged wheel, so I inquired. They knew nothing either. So I went looking for the sales guy who texted me, found him, reminded him, and he said, "Oh, thanks for reminding me," so I wouldn't have gotten it repaired if I wouldn't have inquired. He took my information, texted me later, and we set up an appointment for the following week for me to drop the vehicle off and pick up a loaner.
When I returned a week later, no one knew what I was talking about, so I looked for the sales guy, found him, and he handled it. I checked the loaner out and they gave me this nonsense about ensuring that I return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel or pay extra. It's funny, because at this point they'd damaged my wheel, provided substandard service, wasted a substantial amount of my time, and cost me fuel for an additional roundtrip, but they're worried about what I'm going to cost them driving a Prius back to my house and back to the dealership when they're the cause of all of this. Needless to say, I won't be back. I'll pay for tire rotations out of pocket elsewhere. Revised review from 2019 to reduce character limit to ensure the above story is captured as well: We bought a new vehicle here in 2019. Every experience with this dealership, from maintenance to parts to getting a key cut, has been horrible. Getting the key cut resulted in the journeyman locksmith screwing it up, blaming us, treating us like garbage, and throwing another key onto the counter in a temper tantrum when we insisted on buying a new key and having him cut it. They decided not to charge us after the fit thrower realized it was his fault all along,...
Read moreI had to go to the dealership a total of 3 times to get the deal done . I have to be honest, I was initailly going to leave a 1 star review but my experience got better towards the end which is why I am giving you 2 extra stars. The service was good at the end but it doesn’t erase the way I felt nor my overall experience .I know it’s hard to believe but don’t judge people by it’s cover! Starting with the recepcionist, ( which did have a part of influence for me to leave this review) , I didn’t feel welcomed at all and even found her rude ( the one that worked today after 630 pm because I know you have more than one that I am sure are not the same ) .I am pregnant and went on my comfortable clothes, perhaps she thought I can’t afford a car ? 2. I decided to co-sign for my brother in law on Monday of this week. I guess it was kinda late so they told me they would reach out tomorrow which was yesterday Tuesday. Come Tuesday, I get notified that the bank is requiring 3 ítems . I get luther the ítems thinking that on Tuesday night, we would know for sure of the approval of the loan. Well got told that they left for the day so we will probably know today wednesday, waited until 4 pm and still nothing so then we decided to pay cash for the car because we for tired of waiting. I know you guys have no control for what the banks request for a loan but you do have control over the experience that your client has, and in this case , was a bad one 3. Thinking it would be an easier deal for luther, I brought a check . ( in my mind, it’s a cash deal , it shouldnt take that long , well it did) . My salesperson came ( which has nothing to do with my review because I think he was fine ) and had me sign a form basically to verify my identity, meaning they would run my credit again ? So did Luther think I was taking over someone else’s identity? I didn’t see the point of having to verify my identity when I have given you my id, you literally ran my credit report to send to the banks , and I have alerts so I know when my credit is pulled…and sure enough I got home and got another email of another inquiry on my credit ( even though I was paying you cash )Question: is it because of my comfortable clothes that I don’t look like I can have good credit , good job , good income ? Don’t judge people by it’s cover !! I don’t think I will be back for my husbands or any car needs as we were planning on buying a truck for him for his business but I’m sure there are plenty other places that would want our business and not judge us like we felt on this place. Yes we did end up buying the car as it was for my brother in law and he did want this car but no more!!...
Read morePurchased a Camry Hybrid back in 2009. GREAT CAR. Service since then has been horrible. Oil changes consistently took over an hour and a half sometimes up to 2.5 hours.... an oil change. If you ask for just the oil change no inspection, nothing, they refuse. Then they will lie to you about about needing the cabin filter replaced. I know because I was sick of them asking so I replaced the filter just before the appointment and they came back with a filthy filter clogged with detritus and asked if I wanted it replaced. When I complained that they were obviously lying to me they just smiled and walked away.
Had a Tire rotation that they charged me for, but they didn't do. They acknowledged when I called that, yes they did in fact forget to do it. Despite that being the main purpose of the visit. When I asked for a refund they refused and said they'd just credit my account. When they did it the next time they didn't tighten the lugs on the tire, and because of road work I didn't realize that it wasn't tight until I was on the highway(Roadway was very bumpy on the way in). Called their team from a mile away, and they said "Just drive it back slowly" Didn't apologize or anything, their service person said I should be more careful.
Most recently was there in January of 24 for a HYBRID System warning light(go to the source to fix a serious issue right?). They gave me a half dozen issues that could be causing it but wouldn't say what it was exactly gave me a lump sum price without a priority listing of which ones I should attack first. When I asked for a detailed listing of what items they thought needed fixing, They gave me a run around before giving it to me. It was a 3 hour + wait, and they didn't even offer me a true fix just "Some warning codes and what they might mean". Under week later I brought it to a trusted mechanic who had serviced it since the Tire rotation issue, and he said it was unsafe to drive because the back brake was seized open(unable to close), and the front breaks were almost failing. Something that Rudy Luther never told me about the state of the brakes despite being under the car for "Hours" not a week prior.
Complaints are met with blank stares, and emails or calls are not answered. Worst service group I have ever encountered. Over the course of 13 years, they had 2 incidents where they left my car in unsafe to drive condition without telling me. Inexcusable.
Toyota's are great cars I got 250k miles out of mine... But their service is abhorrent. If negative stars were an option... I would...
