Genesis of Minneapolis — Local services in Golden Valley

I did not have the best experience at this Genesis. My vehicle was picked up by concierge service, and I was informed that my vehicle would be returned before I left work. Mind you that they left a loaner but did not leave the keys to the vehicle. I was told that was their policy. Anywho, everything started out great. I was updated when my vehicle arrived at the shop that morning and to explain what I was experiencing with my brakes. I told them that the wipers also needed to be replaced. Well, 3pm rolls around, and I haven't heard anything further concerning my vehicle. I called them to ask what the status of my vehicle. I was told that they hadn't even taken it back and that they were short staff. Of course, this didn't sit well with me because of how confident they were in having my vehicle back to me in time. So now they have to bring the keys back out to my job. Now my vehicle has to stay overnight. I pick up the vehicle the next day. I go in, and they just hand me my keys and try to send me on my way. So im like, ookk, so what's the update with the brakes before you guys send me away. They get Jeremy to give me the deets on my brakes. Nothing major ok great. The next day it rains and guess what!! No new wipers. Yep, the old ones are still there. The air in my vehicle smelled a little stale as if the cabin filter had not been changed. Which just made me question if anything was even done. I am getting someone else to check everything out to make sure things were even done. Genesis owners, please be very weary about taking your vehicle here. What a wonderful experience this was. I visited three different dealerships today, and I must say the care, attention, and professionalism the entire staff of Genesis showed me today blew everyone else out of the water. I was initially greeted by a very friendly receptionist who immediately introduced me to Jae Walters, who then took me back to his desk with water and refreshments in hand. I carefully listed out a few things I was specifically looking for, and Jae took off running with what they have, what they don’t have, why their cars outperform their competition, AND where their cars underperform. Jae immediately garnished trust and respect, and that’s something that’s difficult to find in the world of sales these days. We then worked together to meticulously pick out the right car for me, took it out for a spin to make sure it was indeed exactly what I was looking for, then tirelessly worked with his manager Lance Teal until the price was right. With big decisions like this, I always have to rethink things over dinner and a drink, but it wasn’t long before I called Jae back up and gave him the go ahead. While I was driving back in, they were able to get all the paperwork in order so that once I arrived it was straight into finance, no lollygagging. Everything was there ready and waiting, so papers were signed and I was out the door with a brand new G70 in less than 30 minutes, record time for me. Love my new Genesis gv70 Prestige Sport car! Just so potential buyers know, our household has a 2020 Lexus Rx 350 and a 2006 Rx 330. But I decided on the Genesis because the interior was more luxurious, comfortable and the performance reminded us of driving an Audi (it was a rental when out of town). My Genesis is such a beautiful vehicle; Genesis engineers had buyers in mind when they did not skimp on the interiors and performance. That was always the critical part of owning a Lexus- reliable, but boring. Not with a Genesis because you have both. I would buy another Genesis if I could.

The Minneapolis Genesis dealership was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Our salesperson was Jared Bogdalek. I’m sure all their sales team is great, but I wholeheartedly recommend Jared. He was friendly, professional, patient and knowledgeable about the vehicle. We also met the managers, Lance and Adam, who were just top notch and really wanted to hear feedback back from us regarding what we liked/loved about our Genesis. It just seemed like they valued our opinions so they could continue to improve on the product. This is exactly what I want in a car and especially a luxury car. Also, during financing, we met with Cassandra, who made the process so fun and enjoyable.
