You pay for convenience, hours are variable, they are only nice to your face. Side note, they prefer cash, but can run a card. The heating element in our oven broke, and we needed to fix it ASAP. My father in law recommended I go here to buy a new heating element, they are one of the only places in town that sell them, and I feel like they exploit that fact a bit. However, they have what looks like hundreds of them. I pulled the old one out of our oven, took it in with me, and they had an exact match for it. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. After a quick install, my oven works like new! Down sides a new heating element on Amazon and Lowes (online, not sold in store here) was $25, this place charged me $40 for it, so you will pay extra but you'll have it the same day, as opposed to waiting for shipping times. I understand that small business stuff can be more expensive since they are a smaller operation, but $15 extra is a steep mark up. Another issue we had was having to go multiple times. They say they close at 5, but the first day I went there at 4 (like I pulled in at 3:55) and they were already closed. When we called the next day to verify hours, they were snippy with us and said that they close at 5. That bothered me because they obviously don't stay open until they close at 5 every day. Read moreTommy Smith seemed like a nice personable guy. We bought a used Washer and Dryer which came with a 90 day warranty. The price was right and the delivery and setup went flawlessly. That is where Tommy's professionalism ends. On the very first load the Washer faulted on the spin cycle and had to be reset by unplugging it. I thought it was a fluke and ignored it. It happens EVERY time the washer has a spin cycle. I called Tommy Smith and got voicemail which was never returned. I have called 8 times in 3 weeks all calls go to voicemail and are never returned. I then sent 3 follow up emails and you guessed it....no response. I decided to try and call from a different number and lo and behold he picked up on the 1st ring. He said he was in the middle of a service call and would call back in 30 minutes. Well 4 hours later here we are again......nothing but crickets....GO AHEAD AND BUY FROM HIM AS LONG AS YOU HAVE FAITH THAT YOU WON'T NEED SERVICE. Read moreI really love to support local small businesses, so it hurts a little to write this review. I have been going round and round with this business to have a part ordered for my dryer. Each time I call the store, a lady answers and takes a message, as she is unable to tell me anything about the part that I have ordered. I am told that Mr. Smith will call me back, but it has yet to happen. I have called multiple times over a three week period. Now when I call, the voicemail message that is set up says that the number is Mr. Smith’s personal number and to call (wait for it) the exact number that I just dialed. I am glad that I didn’t pay for the part up front, as now I can just order from some other business.
