MIXED REVIEW. I really wanted to like this place, but.....I liked the store and the items, but not the vibe and supercilious atmosphere of wealth in a thrift store. I've always had a hard time shopping thrift stores because I thought they were for people in need. But I was out looking for a particular type of gift for someone who suggested I try thrift stores. I popped in here because it was a recommended shop.
This is definitely NOT what I thought a thrift store was. Half of the store had the expected used items. Some of them are beautifully refurbished furniture. Half of it is a boutique of new clothing that is NOT priced for anyone on a budget.
I was, however, very impressed with the quality of the repurposed furniture. It is beautiful, well made, and very reasonably priced.
I was surprised at the other shoppers. I was not expecting bougie moms and their over privileged children in a "thrift" store. But they can afford the boutique pricing on the other side of the store. The store seems to be aimed more for this type of clientele.
I'm not sure if the cashier was having a bad day, but I hope it got better for her. I definitely wasn't expecting snobbish service and atmosphere in a...
Read moreI used to enjoy going to this thrift store because you could find some good deals and I used to donate ally items here too. No more. I went today and they have implemented what the cashier explained was value pricing. Every item was double what I would have paid in any other thrift store. This is not a consignment shop that resales gently used items it is a thrift store every item has been donated by the generous people of the community. They seem to have forgotten that they should also be a blessing in the community. There are no good deals here anymore, you may as well pay retail sales prices and get something new because the prices are the same. If you want to go to a good thrift store with decent fair prices go to the Hospice...
Read morelst time visit - gave this store a HUGE bag of Christmas items. Warehouse person was great - very friendly. Told me to make sure to stop inside to shop. So I did. Bought two kitchen items: one was a Brita pitcher. Got it home and all the water leaked out all over the counter when I filled it up. Took it back today. They refused to trade it for another, give me a store credit or give me any kind of make-good whatsoever. Basically, too bad for me. It wasn't the $3 but the principle. They just cost themselves a whole attic-full of donations and a LOT of future sales as I will NOT be going back to this store again!! Good Samaritan will receive everything that I have to donate - and it is SUBSTANTIAL. Thank you...
