I typically don’t write reviews like this, but my experience at Shanghai Restaurant left me extremely disappointed. This was my second time eating here, and I was hoping for a better outcome, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

I ordered the House Special Fried Rice and chicken wings, which cost $16. For that price, I expected much better. The rice was undercooked and lacked flavor, with only chicken, pork, and literally one shrimp. The chicken wings were overcooked and dry. On top of that, I also ordered a sesame chicken combo with an egg roll and crab Rangoon. For two combination trays, my total came out to $33, which is far too expensive for the quality of food I received.

The food was so disappointing that, three hours later, my entire plate is still sitting here untouched. If you’re going to charge that much for a meal, the food needs to meet expectations. Unfortunately, it did not.

Good deals if you order from the "Specials".. You can get a plate with 8 chicken drummettes with a big portion of fried rice for only $7.25. Their rice is addictive &the best I've had. But if you do not say "Special" when you order it, they will charge you nearly $10 for the exact same thing. They have a hard time understanding English, so you have to order very carefully to get the right price so you're not overpriced. The man that owns it is so very nice & energetic. I respect him for working so very hard. Love this restuarant. I do wish his wife would smile more like he does, she never seems happy, so as a customer I'm relieved when its him taking my order lol. I also do wish the inside was cleaner. I always get my food to go because it looks like they're way too busy to keep it...

Your 1 stars are catching up with your 5 stars. Obviously, you can't tell that the RUDE lady at the drive-thur is RUINING your business and running off your customers. I have ate at this place for years, years and years. They have NEVER gotten my order wrong or left anything out. So, tonight was the 3rd time we have ordered and our order was wrong again. (3 times guys) I have called an complained and they do always ask to make the order right, but who wants to drive back a second time to be treated RUDE again by the same lady that is STILL there at that drive thur window. I love the food but Good Luck Shanghai.....I will be looking for a new Chinese...
