I've edited my review because I tried them two more times. The worst part is that Walmarts generics even taste better than theirs.
After considerable thought I have to give only two stars. It seems as if everyone is comparing Oranges to Apples.
Please, as well do not get me wrong, this is a good place for people who have a hard time feeding their family. I do think though that for the quality a few cents is not worth it.
I actually bought a loaf of white bread for .79 cents, now I can understand it shouldn't taste the best in the world for that, but it was so hard and crumbly I had to go to Walmart and buy a 1.50 loaf.
I mean most of Aldi is generic. Not only that their generic is of less quality than Kroger, HEB or Walmart.. The items they do have that are brand name are no less than Walmart and sometimes higher.
You have to bag your own groceries, wait for a checker most the time. Put a quarter in for a basket in 107 degree heat, then take the basket back and get your quarter back.
I have went several times and will continue to go for fast trips. They are out of stock quite frequently on the lowest advertised price. The items are always less in weight than other generics at other stores, like a bag of chips or a box of cereal.
I have no idea how they have made...
Read moreWe Love our Granbury, TX Aldi's . BUT since they have changed the aisles, and they are just 3 long aisles, and no aisles in the middle NOT liking it so much. We are in our late 70's and 80'. And sometimes just want to run in pick up some bread go across the middle and pickup up yogurt, milk, butter. Now we have to go the full length of the store, which is VERY inconvenient for us, then when you go to get in line, people think your trying to cut in front of them because you trying to get to the back of the line, which is half way down the FULL aisle. And unless you go completely to the back of the store and up the FULL aisle, you have to cut through the line to get to the back. And your workers, this must be horrible for them, since they are working the registers and stocking shelves, they have to go the full length of the store again. Very bad set up. Please change back to middle center and things were much easier to find, we do the biggest part of monthly grocery shopping there, please make it easier again for those of us with a little added years to our...
Read moreIf I could give it a negative amount of stars then I would. My son and I just left the store and i will NEVER be back .The manager approached my son as he was leaving the store and told him that customers were complaining of his smell.. Now back story. My son had just gotten done working in our yard and we went just to grab some gallon jugs of water and a pizza for dinner.. I will admit he didn't smell like a dozen roses but what right does anyone have to say anything. I know for a fact that my son wasn't the only one. There was a gentleman that walked in covered in oil and grease around the same time. We have been very frequent shoppers of Aldi and have recommended it to several people. But never again. My son is my caregiver and has had to walk there several times to get groceries because I was unable to drive due to health. And that is the closest store to us.. They have lost at least 2 customers and I have friends and family that I am sure they...
