Firehouse Cafe — Restaurant in Granbury

Terrible. I ended up getting something else to eat at the smoothie place because what I bought to-go from this place was unsanitary.

I was willing to wait for a replacement inside but looked up and saw a gory zombie show or movie on the TV. I hate that kind of TV & honestly it’s a restaurant, don’t people lose their appetites seeing something like that while they eat? I decided to forget the replacement and just left.

I tried to voice my concerns and also let them know I don’t want the replacement, but the manager I spoke with was mysteriously unavailable on the phone minutes after I left the restaurant. I was promised a call back right away but it never happened. At this point I’m no longer interested in talking to them and will just leave a review instead.

I’ve been there off and on for years. This was actually the second time I had the same problem so I was foolish for continuing to give them a chance. I won’t be doing that again

And I do travel often and go to restaurants in different states. This is the only one where I’ve had this problem so I think that says a lot

I did follow up with a call the day after because I paid using a card that automatically adds a 15% hold to restaurant and hotel charges to accommodate for any tips or incidentals I may incur. I forgot about that until after they researched my ticket for me because I thought they had made a mistake. It was not anything they did. Even so they told me the manager is still not available today. I don’t understand why the manager is never there. I wish them the best but they should consider figuring out a better process if a customer has a concern & sorting out the issue I had with the food in the...

Will definitely come back! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were met with smiles and kindness. You could tell that everyone there enjoyed being there. I’ve never seen a waitstaff work together like they did. Our waitress checked on us multiple times and the other waitresses checked on us too. They all worked together and made sure every customer was well taken care of. Great job creating a joy-filled environment!!

Now, the food. The food did not disappoint either. My husband had the breakfast special and was more than he could eat. He normally finishes his meal; not today. 😆 I built my own omelet and it was perfection! They did not skimp on the veggies or sausage! It was very yummy and filling!! The sausage and salsa had a really great flavor!

I’d love to come back and try their Sunday dinner special - pot roast. 😋

Oh! And how could I forget about the breakfast potatoes. I had them cut the peppers and onions and they still tasted great! Fresh potatoes not frozen. Yum-o! Well done,...

I had the loaded omelette with homemade biscuits and possibly THE most perfect side of crispy hash browns. My wife had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and pinto beans. Everything was incredible with the exception of the sauce on the meatloaf. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t a flavor we preferred; sort of like something your favorite aunt would make. It’s not Mama’s, but it’s familiar and you can tell is made with love. Portions were large enough we had to take home leftovers. Several regulars were being chatted up like they were family, but we never felt like an outsider. This team knows how and when to engage their crowd, being attentive, but not intrusive. We appreciated how the servers helped each other out and checked in on each other’s stations. In a small town with more than its fair share of breakfast/lunch places, this one stands out. It may seem a little pricey compared to some of those other places, but it’s by no means the priciest and it’s well worth...
