Brought in a laptop to be repaired around 7 months ago… ultimately it was never fixed to run as it was intended and was told it would have to be shipped out. I was already feeling pretty scammed paying $300 + for this repair but now he wanted MORE money to send it off to a new company. I left it sitting around cuz I didn’t have the money to have it looked it. Gave one more attempt after moving to have it repaired just yesterday. Keep in mind no other pc repair shop has ever touched this pc. I was told today by a new pc repair company here all parts were improperly put in including wrong sized thermal pads, wires crimped in the case and broken, improperly placed and seated components on thermal paste, video card close to being damaged, and overall just terrible work. Called to have it resolved and Brock said he would get it taken care of. Calls me back 30 minutes later to say he’s not gonna do anything because the bench tests suggested the temps meant everything was correct… which does not mean that at all. It was never repaired, therefore never running at full capacity, so how could tests be done to prove anything. This guy needs to turn in his business license. He was so desperate to get out of this he wouldn’t even let me talk without interrupting me. Everything they did was guessing. Terrible work, terrible customer service, and terrible location to ever go. Should have known when he wanted to ship my computer to California that he was an awful choice. By the way, he also suggested that no other shop would honor work if the product sat around after being repaired. Don’t ever bring your pc here, I’d recommend you find a better shop and report to the BBB is...
Read moreI needed some help with a MacBook Pro that I had done a screen replacement on and it turned out I was simply missing a screw for the battery's power connector. Phil took both of my phone calls and was extremely pleasant to deal with. He told me they had the very specific screw I needed and only charged $1 for it. I hurried in and was able to make it to their store roughly 2 minutes before closing. The screw was ready for me but I noticed a sign they had that indicated they weren't able to do credit card transactions and I actually didn't have any cash on me at the time. Phil told me not to worry about it, and actually installed the screw for me as well.
These guys are pure class. The next time I need computer services and products I plan on going out of my way to do business with them. They deserve every 5 star review they get.
Big shout out to Phil and the rest of...
Read moreI was pretty happy with Raptor PCS service when I took my computer in with a dead motherboard. They ran a bunch of tests in a timely manner to isolate the problem. They offered to replace the motherboard, but were very understanding when I opted to take my computer back and upgrade the components myself. The fee they charged for diagnosing my computer was completely reasonable.
One thing: I will advise any customer to be smart about how you spend your money when repairing a computer. It would have cost $800 for Raptor PCS to replace an old motherboard with the same one, but I was able to buy several newer and much more powerful components instead for $500. Do you research before committing to a large repair, although I'm sure Raptor PCS techs will give you good...
