Nice place on the whole. It's a bar, not a night club, not a piano lounge, you won't hear soulful Blues here, but they do serve alcohol. A bar is its own flavor to be judged upon. There are dive bars, college bars, local bars (open to everyone but not really, more private clubs), gay bars, country bars, and occasionally music venues. This is just a bar and it's good at being just a bar. Has the etab machines, sort of fun. Probably this is mostly a college bar considering the town. I hear the burgers are sort of dry. I don't drink alcohol anymore so can't attest to that end of it. I can say that I felt comfortable there and for a place who's business is hospitality that's halfway home regardless of the details.
Still like the place. More comfortable than others for me. Plenty of...
Read moreOne of my favorite local watering holes. Bonus for being stumbling distance from home (even in the snow!) And who wouldn't like to pour your own 'beer on tap', at your table, from their available beer tower?! Jenna & Sadie, on the bar side, and Paige & Steve, on the gambling side, are always fun to talk with. Sports on TV, Touch Tunes jukebox, bingo (twice a day,) pool, darts, & video golf will keep you entertained, even if you don't want to talk! And they have a small off-sale store nextdoor. It's located inside the Grand Cities Mall, across the parking lot from Shotgun Sally's. (Haven't been there yet; Still on list to visit.) I'll always have a special place in my heart for Rumors, since I bought my very‐1st-ever North Dakota pull tab here,...
Read moreThis place has been in business for a long time and there's good reason for it. The food is consistently tasty, the servers are friendly and attentive and the prices are fair. It's a good place to watch a game or UFC fight, or just have a get-together with friends. They do bingo, some gaming and have a couple of pool tables and darts. They also allow you to reserve tables if you're having a...
