I am not one to write bad reviews and I want to start this off by saying I do not go to laundromats frequently. I understand the risks that come from washing your personal belongings in a public place. I only use laundromats when I have large loads and bedding to wash as it goes by much faster. I have never had a problem with the bubble laundromat in the past. It has been as clean and as sanitary as I expect a laundromat to be. Today I went to wash a few loads of laundry and my bedding. Mind you it cost me almost $40 for 4 loads of laundry. I washed and dried the laundry and when I came to fold it and take it home I found all of my clothes covered in black stuff. Hundreds of dollars worth of clothing I had presumed as ruined. I asked the attendant to come see and she stated it must have been a pen left by the previous person who used that dryer. She had assumed that I didn't check the dryer before using it to check for anything left behind, which I did. I was so upset and angry I was almost in tears so I was not in the mood to argue. She then proceeded to tell me this happens occasionally and told me she would go get her remedy for ink stains and that there was nothing they could due since this was a self service laundromat (which I understand). If this is something that happens frequently or even occasionally I would expect them to have a sign reminding customers to look for things such as pens in the washers or dryers. As I should not be going to a laundromat assuming my clothes are going to be ruined, nor do I expect to have to inspect each machine I use as that is not my job and not what I am paying to do. She came back with a can of acetone and two rags and told me to soak my clothing in the acetone. Now take into account that I had washed many more expensive pieces of clothing like Lululemon and Abercrombie. With this said I was not about to soak my clothes in acetone not knowing what was going to happen to the fabric and coloring. I took my clothes and went home. When I got home I found myself even more upset as I spent my hard earned money on these clothing items that I thought were ruined. Two of my friends, my mom and I decided to try some other remedies. We found that just a bit of dish soap made the black stuff rub off, hence it was not pen ink as pen ink would not have come out after being dried. We spent almost two hours spot cleaning EVERY PIECE OF CLOTHING. And I mean everything. Now I am having to rewash every item I had just washed at that laundromat, and there are still faint black marks from the grease left on my clothing that will not come out. I understand the risk of laundromats but this was not just an accident on my part, it was grease from the dryer, something that was easily noticed when rubbing the items. I was not offered help to clean them while I was there and was not offered a refund for the money I spent washing my clothes. Long story short, I will not be returning and I suggest if you are to go here that you thoroughly inspect the machine before use (not that you should have to, but to ensure your clothes do not get ruined).
The blue sweater in the pictures was covered the most. I didn't get a picture before I spot cleaned it but every spot that is wet had grease covering it. The other items you can see are covered in grease. If this was pen ink 1. it would not have come out with dish soap and 2. it would not have gotten on every single piece of my clothing...
Read moreBeautiful building and nice staff however it was an experience that will keep me from coming there ever again. The small washing machines were charging 3.75 which was fine until it came to paying. I tried using the app that they have and I could not do it on my own. The guy at the desk ended up giving it to me for free which was extremely nice. But the dryers! They recommend paying 1.75 to make sure your laundry is dry. I paid 2 just because I wanted to make sure. I didn't overload it or anything and in the end, I spent 4.75 for clothes that were still wet. I will not be coming back here. I ended up taking my wet clothes home and using my dryer instead. I wanted to give a laundromat a try since I will be moving out of my current house and I wanted to get all my laundry done at once. When looking for a new place to live, I am making sure it has laundry in unit or at least on the property because at least this...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if I could. I was accused of "stealing" the free drying because I washed my clothes on the newer side of the facility and brought my clothes to the free drying section. The manager yelled at me in front of other customers that I was stealing and I was lucky she didn't call the cops. She then charged me $3.00 (for free drying) and threw the quarters at me so hard they fell to the ground. She then refused to let me speak to the owner because "he will kick you out for good and she was treating me better than he would."
I went to my car in embarrassment, and then went back inside and managed to speak to the owner. He brushed off the manager's horrible behavior and told me "she isn't like that usually." He then offered me $5.00 as compensation, but the code never worked so he shrugged and walked away....
