It’s taken me a while to contemplate writing this review. I never enjoy writing negative things, but I also believe people should hear my story. I feel very mistreated and inappropriately shamed by the staff at Preusser Jewelers. This was my second purchase at the store back in the Spring of 2021. I had been in a long term relationship and was ready to take the next step. It took me a few weeks to come up with right setting and stone, but I landed on an emerald cut diamond ring at Preusser Jewelers. After paying for the ring, I had the store keep it safe before getting engaged. Long story short, the relationship fell apart in June of 2021, and I was now stuck with what to do. First off, I had to try to haggle with the staff to figure out the price to sell my ring on consignment. They never offered to work with me and take the ring back since it was already in its setting. I later found out from other jewelers that they could have done that. After a few months of the ring not moving on consignment, I decided to take it to another jeweler. When I went to pick up the ring that I paid for, the last thing that was said to me as I was walking out the door was “Maybe next time you should be a little more picky.” That was referring to my previous relationship that I was already mentally damaged from. Very disappointed in the treatment by their staff and understanding of the situation. I do not recommend...
Read moreSent a ring in to be repaired as determined by Auto-Owner's Insurance, under a jewelry policy. What I received after the repair was astonishingly poor workmanship. Replacement stone was poor quality, previous stone was fine quality. I'll see if I can add a photo to the review. I then fought with my insurance and brought the ring to my jeweler for a repair. It now cost 20% more to repair because the ring was now dented and damaged from the botched repair. Quite simply, this jeweler tried to pull a fast one. I had the repair looked at by two other jewelers and they were both astonished at what Preusser's tried to pass as a repair. They also documented the damage and provided me with new repair assessments. I got a happy ending thanks to my persistence with my insurance and the help of a local jeweler. The poor quality, non-matching sapphire was returned to them and luckily I did get a refund for the work. My jeweler took care of the repair and it looks like new. While i did get things straightened out it took months, many e-mails, many more phone calls, and a lot of my time to resolve. Inspect things closely and document every detail when getting a ring repaired here (or anywhere really). The business might treat you well and resolve your complaints, but it doesn't mean you'll get a talented jeweler working on your ring or an honest...
Read moreI cannot thank Caryn and Deb enough. We got my engagement ring from them and I could not be happier. They both dealt with me when something (completely out of their control) went wrong on my end, and calmed me down, and fixed everything right away. We ended up getting another diamond necklace as well as my engagement ring and they made the process so simple and easy. They got me the diamond(s) I wanted, let me choose from multiple ones, got me different settings to try for my ring and necklace. Just truly went above and beyond. Caryn was my main point of contact and I am just so thankful for her. Deb was my emergency call when things went wrong on my end (again, nothing they did wrong or within their control). But she calmed me right down, told me what I needed to go and got the ball rolling to fix everything. Caryn jumped back in and got my diamond fixed up! Just truly really really thankful for them. I now have an absolutely gorgeous engagement ring and a beautiful diamond necklace that we will cherish forever (and have quite the story to tell of them). Thank you...
