Benders — Local services in Grand Rapids

I really like having this store in Grand Rapids. They have high quality shoes and clothing that you normally would have to drive to the cities to find. Two star review because of the return policy. I was told by the manager that they stand behind all of their products but for some reason she wouldn’t take back a pair of Oboz I bought that are complete garbage and ripped the first week I had them. Not what I expected from a shoe company from Bozeman Montana. Also not the answer I expected to hear from the manager based off how much shopping I’ve been doing there lately so here’s your warning-Don’t buy OBOZ from Benders. I wish I would have went with a more established company like Danner.

Edit* After writing this review the owner immediately called Monday morning and offered to make things right and apologized for the inconvenience. I upgraded the two star review to 5 because the problem is solved and that’s really good business...

Everything about the store is acceptable and likable except I believe myself that the prices are a bit High all the way around on all of their product. I've been told this is a tourist town a lot of cabins and people come up and spend a lot of money and I think that is part of the reason their prices are kept so high. They usually only have a couple of pairs of Nike shoes in size 12 men which is what I wear. That would hold true this last visit when I bought a pair of shoes. I'm not happy with your selection in Nikes and to make matters worse unfortunately they're dropping Nike as a vendor because they said they're having problem getting their orders filled through them. If that's the case I wouldn't say it was been your fault but to drop play largest Sports shoe company I think it's the wrong...

Anna in Grand Rapids was a HUGE HELP. I told her I was looking for a good pair of running shoes in a size 13 and she went to the back room and came out with 8 to 10 different styles and fits of shoes to which I eventually narrowed down to 3 pairs, 2 Brooks and 1 New Balance. After taking a walking test around the store I ended up buying the Brooks Ghost 17 style. After we finished with the shoes I asked about pants. The largest size you had was a 40x32 which I then tried on 3 or 4 different styles and to my surprise found a pair that actually fit me pretty comfortably. I'll definitely be back in to see if you can find me a couple more pairs of pants again! Thanks again to Anna and for the great experience I had in your store yesterday TUESDAY...
