Central Square Mall — Local services in Grand Rapids

This mall used to be the epicenter of all activities in Grand Rapids. Now it is in serious decline. 85% of the stores are now antique stores. I understand because of Amazon and other e-commerce juggernauts that in person retail is dieing, but this mall is an empty shell of it's former self. It is clean. The building is still in good shape. The stores ither thank antique stores are not particularly interesting, a great place if you have kids and just want to let them run wild before a long car ride. The Chinese food used to be good, but now the variety of food has suffered and the staff have hung up a bunch of signs that are rude to customers. The Chinese restaurant over near tiger textiles and blandin is MUCH higher quality. Walking around this place, it was like it was stuck in 2007. We don't have a mall in Grand Rapids basically all that mall is used for is it seems like bigger businesses like how Maurice's was in there in vanity and a hair salon no all we have in there is a bookstore the gaming place for people to go to play games but I think you have to have like a membership to go there to play I'm not sure so don't quote me on that they have a restaurant Chinese they have Glik's it may be another few smaller stores and I did see a fitness place in there again so what that fitness place being in there I think we have 4 to 5 fitness centers in one town and some small businesses and their that's about it for our Mall it's not how...

Nice quiet lil mall. The only trouble we ran into was the appliances store had a problem with my son & I using their restroom and had done so with a very bad attitude. Needless 2 say I gave the appliances store owner an attitude adjustment quick like & never heard anything else from him. Besides that every other store owner was very friendly & down 2 earth.
