If you could give more than 5 stars this would be the place to do so. WOW! Walked in since I just moved to the neighborhood and saw a line spanning two blocks on christmas eve. Im so mad it took me this long to do so. Family owned, operated, and an absolute killer selection. Top notch, true midwestern customer service where you're treated like family friends the moment you step into the door. Just moving back from Colorado, and this is exactly the kind of personable experiences I have missed from the great Midwest of America. This Family is truly an example of the American Dream.

The Pickled Smoked Kielbasa is also single handedly one of the greatest gifts to this planet and I am not ashamed to say I have already ate the half pound purchase I just made in one sitting. I just wish they were open later so I could go back for more! Good thing I got this beef Rouladen simmering. (I had no idea what that was until ten minutes ago, thanks Alex!)

From the moment I zoomed up the sidewalk on my scooter I knew I had found the best darned butcher shop in Grand Rapids! Established in 1923 it has retained its neighborhood charm and old-fashioned customer service, offering quality home-made sausages, pirogi, and more.

Staff promptly opened the door and, as I moved through the store, were there to assist me to reach or read products that I couldn’t and answer my questions. Had a delightful time sampling Krakowska, smoked pickled kielbasa (a favorite) and other sausages. Prices were very good - a nice surprise! - and they take debit & credit cards. For those with walkers to wheelchairs there’s plenty of space to roam. I’ll be back on more Tuesdays to take advantage of the 10%...
