Saigon Market — Local services in Grand Rapids

One of my 'go-to' Asian/Pacific styled shops. Now I say this but this is QUITE important, I drive 20 minutes out of my way INTO town JUST for this shop. They are AWESOME! The selection is VAST, and varied delightfully. You will not be dissapointed, and the prices are quite fair. There is a vast amount of imported goods that really just shows their dedication to ensuring amazing customer service and quality. I've yet to have a negative experience at this market. I take that back....there have been occasions in which they've been out of an item I was looking for. I have been able to find substitutes and the employees are always great when I've asked for help. There are certainly a lot of interesting Asian offerings, but compared to other Asian markets, this is pretty underwhelming. I noticed at least a couple of expired products on the shelf. The layout is really dull. My Chinese wife wasn't impressed at all, we tried some of their mashu, and it was incredibly dry and not soft at all. I don't think I'd recommend this place to...
