We went to Ashleyâs looking to furnish our entire house. Nels was our salesman and we have been extremely disappointed with the lack of communication. We purchased over $4,000 worth of furniture with the promise that he would update us every two weeks on the whereabouts of it. They also guaranteed us our furniture would be delivered as soon as it came in. It is now September and we bought our furniture the first week of June. The only times we have got an update is when WE have called. Last month we called and were surprised to hear they had received a large chunk of our order but it had just been sitting there. Nobody contacted us. We were able to have it delivered, but only when we requested and when we reached out, if we wouldnât have called we would still have no idea. When we ask to speak to Nels he is always gone, and the store wonât even let us leave a message for a return call back from him. They specifically said âwe donât do that here.â
We were also promised our couches would be here within 12 weeks and that most of the time they arrive earlier than quoted. We picked those specific couches for that reason. And shocker, we still have a living room with no couches. Weâve been told they would be delivered in August, then it moved to September because of a mess-up at their headquarters. We called today and now it is being pushed to NOVEMBER. Again, the only reason we are aware of all these dates, is because WE had to call.
What we have learned from this experience, is that Ashleyâs is just another business that is happy to take your money, but doesnât even attempt to follow through on their promises. To this day, we have never once received a call from Ashleyâs Furniture. The lack of communication and follow through is the worst Iâve seen in this business. I would never recommend this store, and if I had to do it again I would go through Conlinâs Furniture, which has a great reputation and is conveniently...
   Read moreI am new to the area so when I needed a mattress I decided to head to a chain store where I knew I would get quality products and usually they are willing to work with you. Well the sales associate was nice and all but he failed to mention that I could not return or exchange the mattress I bought because I got it on sale. Now Home depot and pretty much any other big chain retailer does not have this rule for sale items. Especially because its not like you can truly sleep on a mattress in the store; to make sure its what you want. The mattress is SO firm its like sleeping on the floor! Its only been a week and I am incredibly sore. Its an Ashley brand, and when I asked if it was just like the Serta brand I wanted the sales associate assured me it was... Well its NOT! They wouldn't let me even pay the difference for a new mattress! I'm willing to pay! I tried calling the store but they told me there was nothing they would do. I told them I wasn't aware I couldn't have exchanged it that no one said that to me; and they told me I should have read the fine print. Well I guess that IS my fault but usually with things like that they will tell you straight up. NOPE! NOT A WORD ABOUT IT! There is something to be said about buying sale items I guess. I should have known there would be a catch with a sale this big! I learned my lesion and I hope I save someone else some heartache (or in my case BACKACHE!) in the future. Bad experience we had get our furniture labor day they failed to mention they had to order it n would take two weeks to come in we paid the delivery fee then asked for a refund on the delivery fee two weeks later because we decided to pick up ourselves cause it was taking to long.. never got our fee and our furniture end up getting delivered anyway so idk if we're getting it...the furniture that was delivered was wrong we got a twin loft and sectional just the sectional came along with some random ass furniture we didn't get we ask for our loft to pick up turns out the guy ordered the wrong item and had to be reordered take another two weeks to get here. We get a 100 discount for our wait of 7weeks now..check made cause we paid cash and we never received it because the same guy wrote our address wrong it was right when we left idk how it got changed going into the system..by the wife shanelle.
Thanks to Alicia Hansen for fixing the situation and making it better for us. She got our shipment in one day gave us in store credit and was kind enough understand our frustration and allowed us to receive a gift from the clearance area..very professional and friendly with us....
