This was the start of our trip to Alaska. The staff was amazing. This is a great campground for kids. We were there for a couple of days including 4th of July. They have a pancake breakfast each morning. They were delicious. For the 4th of July, they had a BBQ with delicious perfectly cooked hamburgers or cheeseburgers and you could select a bag of chips. The kids in the camp were playing in bubbles and were having a blast. They have a fantastic water park that was definitely getting used a lot. Each afternoon they have warm delicious chocolate chip cookies. We made sure to get one each day. They also have a great variety of ice cream that you can order. I loved the Chocolate Runs Through It. You need to love chocolate for that one! It was served in a waffle cone that was fresh. The bathrooms were individual rooms with shower. They were spotless and kept clean throughout the day. They also have a handicap bathroom. Our site was nice but small and sloped so that the truck was positioned down the slope and the trailer was flat and higher, so we couldn't hook our stabilizer and WDH when we were ready to leave. We just pulled to the front of the park near the water park and got hooked up. Most of the sites are flat and this wouldn't be an issue. We will be staying here on our way home at the end of August and asked the staff if we could get a flatter site on our return visit. They said it wasn't a problem. We look forward to staying here again next month. UPDATE: We checked in today for our return trip home. They took us to a nice big flat site. Staff was amazing, as usual. They have live music in the evenings and the pancake breakfast is still each morning. We went and got our ice cream and of course, the chocolate chip cookies. Thanks for a great stay to our trip and a great end to our trip!! We will...
Read moreToday my family and I unfortunately had a bad experience at KOA here in Great Falls that I feel happened due to the owner being prejudice. We got an invitation to go to a camp site that someone had rented. We pulled into the KOA campsite for probably not even a full two minutes as we were trying to find the correct camp site as KOA does not have obvious number labeling for each of their camp sites. We were approached by the owner as he was with his family and in swimming gear (he was not there working but instead acting as a guest) the owner yells and waves us down and asks if we need anything. My Native American husband was driving and I was in the back seat with our two children a six year old and an 8 month old. He said that he works there and asked if we needed directions or help. I said the camp site number that we were trying to locate including the first and last name of the person who we were seeing. I said the campsite is by the volleyball net trying to get directions after he asked if we needed help. The owner processed to call us “sketchy” after the fact that he seen our children and got all of our information as to who we were trying to see and was not helping us get directions to the camp site (the whole reason he stopped us). He the owner then sat there proceeding to say we were sketchy and even took it a step further to say he was going to call the sheriff. I feel as though his actions were in reflection of how he feels about people who are not apart of his race. I will sadly never support this...
Read moreWe enjoy staying at KOA's, it's great for families and kids. Kids always enjoy staying at them with so many things to do. However, this is by far the worse one we have stayed at. This one is very unorganized, I give the girls credit for trying but you could tell they were stressed out and confused with how many people they were trying to help. This Koa is way overpriced. Our campers next to us were up tell 4am drinking and partying, peeing in the bushes next to our tents, driving out of here intoxicated, almost backing up into our tents, I never knew people could talk so loud! It's not a safe place for kids, people drive through here very fast. Every koa I stayed at they have night time security that drives by every 30 minutes to make sure people are respecting the rules, this one does not or else maybe we would have gotten some sleep! We are traveling with 7 kids and my kids did better respecting the rules then most of the adults here. You can go to the restrooms and smell the fresh air of kids smoking marijuana. This place needs security or workers that can control the place. I will give them that the coffee was good, showers were hot and they offer free swimming for the kids. I don't think will come back to this place. Owners need to travel around and see how other KOA's operate to better your business and keep your customers safe. Camp sites also had garbage and cigarette butts...
