We purchased a used 2016 allegro with only 17k miles on it. The techs in the service shop were knowledgeable and the manager (Mike) was very friendly.
We were sold on the warranty through EasyCare (which is a whole other matter) but they have been terrible to deal with in regards to their ridiculously non-synergistic departments, would not recommend; but I digress.
Here's the reason for this review: do not give this place your business. Firstly, their communication, even in-house, is . Just from the service department to the front desk is an issue. My RV had to go back and get serviced because there were parts that were required to be fixed and had been "ordered" (quotes because I don't believe they had been ordered considering they couldn't give me an arrival date).
Once the RV was in their shop, I was told that the repairs were made and came back to pick it up. I was greeted by an open-mouthed member at the service desk and goes "..hey" while continuing to look at his phone. I had no idea that he was talking to me. This man told me that they couldn't find their "slide guy" around the shop all day and tells me that my RV isn't done. Without contention, I left.. they called me and told me the RV was finished 10 mins later. This man didn't bother to get up from his stool to look for the team member that was working on my unit and turned me away without verifying anything.
As an aside: getting anything done from their front desk from the girl named Hope is rather difficult. Not once in the multiple hours I spent in that establishment did I notice her doing anything but sitting on her phone. In the multiple times we had to call into the business; she sent me to a phone line that had no one to receive my call... she has a direct line of site to the service desk and manager desk and still plays coy when you call back after going to voicemail post-transfer. My wife had to actually ask her to get up and check for the location of someone in their shop because we were tired of getting the run-around and she audibly scoffed in the phone before having to move.
Back to my review: the only paperwork we received walking away from the proverbial table was for Easycare--nothing regarding the sale. We didn't make our first payment until 2 months after purchase and were stressing the whole time because communication is severely lacking. I had to proceed to use email for communications because I wanted everything to be in writing and to skip over the front desk associate. So Mike, on multiple occasions, gave myself and my mother (primary on the purchase) different answers to appease our stressors regarding a timeline. The whole reason that we couldn't proceed with payments is because the paperwork was incomplete (which they took careful consideration as to not admit fault with). This kept us from getting our vehicle registered and the process for the bank to begin.
We had to drive the vehicle back to our home state and then mechanical issues began, not even 1500 miles in. We were told the RV had been inspected and serviced; Mike and our salesman were aware of our situation and plans to drive it all-the-while assuring us that we would be fine. We had to spend over $500 on a mobile mechanic because we have a catastrophic issue that shuts everything off to the "home" part of our mobile home every time there is a minor bump in the road. We drove over 1000 miles with no a/c, ability to move our chairs, backup cameras... the only thing that worked was the engine. Cue the issues with Easycare: they are a scummy and I have a story for that but that's not why we're here. Enough of this, there is plenty more - I wish I had checked BBB and I wish I had driven to another dealer. They lost the future business of my family members that are local to the area. There are now multiple situations in which customers who had purchased from this business had to spend thousands to fix their vehicle immediately after purchase; this enough of a reason to not come here and can be verified on more than...
Read moreWARNING!! Untrustworthy and suspicious business practices! I was in the market for a Toy Hauler RV this Spring, March 2025, and found a nicely priced Stryker at Pierce RV in Billings, MT. I called and spoke with a salesman named Cody. We discussed the RV and I told him I would buy it. We then talked financing as I preferred not to, but their $5000 rebate requires financing thru Pierce, so I agreed to finance it if required. I then asked whether they even could finance a buyer if they are not a U.S. citizen as I'm Canadian. Cody thought they could, but later discovered their finance company would not finance a non-citizen. Cody advised he'd discussed this with his sales manager and due to my willingness to finance, but their finance company's restrictions, they would get me a price similar to the $5000 rebate, but would get back to me with final numbers. This was late in the afternoon and I told Cody this sounded great, that we had a deal and to put my name on the RV, to send me final pricing in the morning, and that I would start arranging for the purchase from my end. Cody agreed and said we could finalize the sale in the morning. At this point there was no mention of urgency or sales conflicts. There was no doubt in my mind that I had just purchased this RV. About an hour later I received a voicemail from Cody advising that a co-worker of his was discussing a deal with a local buyer on this same RV, and that if I was serious?? about this purchase I should send them a deposit thru a text link he'd sent me, and that he'd also sent the final pricing in the text. I never received that text, the final pricing, or the deposit link, and by the time I received the voicemail it was 5 minutes before their closing time. I called Cody immediately and was told his co-worker was currently discussing financing with the other buyer and that the sale on MY RV was pending that discussion. I told him I hadn't received the text he’d sent, so couldn't have sent a deposit. He said nothing about his co-worker stealing this sale from him, and me, and made no offer to tell his co-worker that it was already sold to me, but advised he would let me know the outcome. A short time later I received a msg advising the sale was made to the other buyer!! I've made numerous large purchases like this over the years from long distances, but it requires trust in the person or dealership you're dealing with and integrity on the part of the seller. Pierce has shown a lack of integrity and proven they cannot be trusted. You make your own decision, but had I sent a deposit, given they had a "finance ready" buyer in the store, vs me who they were getting only a cash deal from, they would undoubtedly have still sold the RV to the other buyer, and I'd now be fighting them to get my deposit back. To add insult to injury, the next day Cody sent me a msg advising they had another Stryker in a different model available and asked if I was interested in buying it instead? After treating me in the manner they had, to have the gall to offer me another sale, that would very likely be sold again before I could make the 12 hour drive to their location, is simply insulting. Fool me once, SHAME ON YOU, fool me twice, shame on me! I will never consider doing business with Pierce RV again, and would recommend anyone else considering them to think long and hard, and especially avoid them at all costs if you're considering a long-distance purchase. Happy ending, the next day I found a beautiful Stryker, same model, in Fargo ND (only 4 hours from me) at Camping World. They treated me like they valued my business, were fantastic to speak with, and ended up selling me the great Toy Hauler I was looking for at a price $12,000.00 less than Pierce. I am now the owner of a beautiful Stryker RV, despite Pierce RVs shenanigans, so no, I was not just tire-kicking, and yes, I was very serious about making this purchase. So, thank you Pierce for saving me any further aggravation of having to deal with you and your...
Read moreGreat Sales Experience Undone by Incompetent Service Department and Unsafe Setup
I recently purchased a brand new RV from Pierce RV in Great Falls. The sales experience was excellent — my salesman was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the experience with the service department was the complete opposite and raised serious safety concerns.
The weight distribution hitch they installed was severely undersized for my trailer. When I questioned the setup, the service tech threw his hands up and said, “I don’t know anything about it, I’m just a grunt.” He claimed it was adjusted “the best they could,” but it was obvious that no weight was being transferred forward, and the drop on hitch was set too high to level the trailer properly or set weight distribution. Ultimately there wasn't even enough drop on that particular hitch to adjust properly at all. My pickup is not modified with a lift or anything strange either. This could have easily resulted in dangerous sway or control issues on the road.
The same tech performed my walkthrough — he was clearly uninterested, rushed through it, and provided almost no explanation of how anything worked. When I asked questions he just shrugged and said to look at the manual.
Once I got the trailer home, I discovered:
-Axles had no grease
-WDH grease zerk was dry
-Tire pressures varied by 15 PSI
-Battery terminals were loose on the extra battery I bought.
-Electrical connections were poorly crimped
-Completely wrong WDH hitch for application leaving me with extremely dangerous setup.
These are basic safety checks that should be part of any pre-delivery inspection. I ended up replacing or adjusting everything myself, because I couldn’t in good conscience allow the service department to touch the trailer again after seeing how poorly things were handled the first time. I have spent a significant amount of money and time making this right. I wouldn't let them touch my camper with a 10ft pole after this experience.
The RV itself is fine, and again, the sales team was great. But the service department was incompetent and careless, and they sent me down the road with a setup that could have gone very badly. Extremely disappointing for what’s supposed to be a...
