Misled by Advisor & Charged for Classes I Never Took. When I first enrolled, my student advisor specifically told me I would not be charged if my financial aid didn’t go through. We even discussed my options if that happened. Shortly after, I had to drop out because I didn’t have enough credits for financial aid to go through and I needed to work.
I was only at the school for less than two hours total and never attended a single class, yet I was still charged. Later, I found out they had sent the bill to collections without ever contacting me first. When I tried to resolve it, I was passed between departments, each one saying the same thing with no real help at all with the same script.
If this is how NWTC operates, I’d strongly suggest thinking twice...

I think we need to start defunding public institutions that have blatant religious biggotry such as this one. If valantines offend someone that say "you are special 1 John 4:11" that person has issues. Let alone making people go to security for these "horrendously offensive action" (input sarcasm). Compared with my experiences at UW Stevens Point, the coursework was far more challenging and comprehensive, yet the small class sizes made it easy for everyone to interact with instructors and their classmates comfortably during lecture and one-on-one. The instructors are truly experts in their craft and are always willing to help you when you are in need. They are truly there to help you succeed and genuinely care about your future.
