Based off the experience from my sisters wedding shopping experience at Clarice’s bridal shop I decided to come back for my wedding dress although I moved out of state. While the experience of shopping was everything I could’ve hoped for. Picking up/and trying on my wedding dress one month before the wedding wasn’t so satisfying. While trying on the dress, my sister noticed there was a hole in the lace on the most noticeable part of the dress. One of the representatives assisted me while trying on the dress and noticed the hole before we did and suggested getting alterations and not buttoning the back of the dress until then to prevent spreading even further. My sister then requested a manager since she paid for my dress some sort of compensation for us having to take the dress out of state to find own seamstress for alterations. Manager stated at that time she would assist in finding seamstress(it took a few days for that call, by then I found my own). She also took my measurements to make sure my sizing didn’t change to see who was a fault for the hole. My measurement's waist up were the same, my hips spread one inch. The hole was on the back of the dress in the bust area. My sister in law has called several times to speak with a manager regarding repair compensation/refund for alterations only. Manager told her she would reach out and one month later I have yet to hear anything after I’ve called and left several messages with staff for a call back. Also making sure she had the correct number to call. Luckily my dress was repaired by an amazing seamstress who had to sew extra fabric that came with dress due to sequin and lace fabric costing an extra amount of money, to a dress that shouldn’t have needed anything but a hem. Very disappointed with this...
Read moreI had the absolute most positive experience at Clarice's Bridal. I should preface by explaining just how nervous I was going in to my appointment. I am a second time bride, in my 30s. I have also lost 100+ lbs, so I am not the most comfortable in my own skin. Over 10 years ago, I was a much larger size and did not have the most pleasant experience at Frew's Bridal in Alton, IL. That left me very nervous about what to expect at Clarice's. If we fast forward back to present, I can tell you that my experience at Clarice's was PHENOMENAL. Kendall was my Bridal Consultant. She reached out to me the day before my appointment to gauge my preferences, style, and budget. The morning of my appointment, my party of 7 guests were wonderfully accommodated. Kendall was absolutely fantastic. She had a number of styles initially pulled and she watched my initial reaction and impression to those items pulled. I don't know what was telling about my face, but she put me THE dress as the first gown I tried on. I went out to show my group and almost cried, it was magical. My mother-in-law to-be did cry! We tried on more gowns to rule out styles and solidify my choice, and at the very end, I put the first gown back on. There was no doubt that it was my gown. My measuring experience was very positive. The sample size fit me very comfortably. Kendall measured me, and the measurements sounded accurate to my body. We then compared the designer's size chart, which actually did match the sample I tried. Kendall also kept me UNDER BUDGET after accessories, taxes, and the gratuity I gave. I still cannot believe that in the first Bridal Salon I tried, and in the first gown I tried on, I found my gown. Thank you, Clarice's Bridal. And a HUGE thank you to Kendall. She...
Read moreWhere do I even begin? I had been eye'ing an instantly yours dress online for about a month or two now and couldn't stop thinking about it. I told myself "if I go to their website next week and the dress is still available, I'll arrange to try it on." I checked online that next week and it was listed as still there, but for some reason I held off...fast forward to last weekend and I went to another place to try on dresses for the first time ever (experience doesn't even come close to the one at Clarice's). I bought the second dress I tried on and "liked it a lot" and bought it. But, all this week, I couldn't stop thinking about this dress from Clarice's and felt like I said yes to the other dress too soon; I was having major second thoughts on the dress I purchased. Yesterday, on a whim, I called Clarice's to confirm it was still available as it was listed online as still available. I asked if I could come try it on and they said yes! Sydney was my bridal consultant and she was amazing. She knows her stuff, made me feel so comfortable, asked me all the right questions, and I instantly fell in love with the dress as soon as I put it on. She took tons of pictures of it from all angles, explained how alterations would work and what all could be done to the dress if needed, and gave me a list of recommended places for alterations or said I could use their in-house seamstress. Sydney answered all my questions about the dress and made the experience very fun. I feel like a literal princess in my dress. Also, everyone at Clarice's is friendly and easy to talk to. My friend got her dress from here recently as well and she told me about the experience she had and it was just as great. Do not pass...
