The entire process from beginning to end was great. Carole got back to us very quickly after our initial inquiry. After we set up an appointment to meet in High Point, she asked us for information prior to our meeting to be better prepared making the most out of our time together. She had our budget, floor plans, style preferences and what we were looking to accomplish all in advance of our meeting.
Upon meeting Carole, she was very easy to deal with and I had the feeling from the start it was going to be a great experience and well worth the trip from Massachusetts. Furnitureland South is huge so we hit the ground running. The first order of business was to look at the floor plans. Carole had all the tools and design expertise to help us come up with a plan for furniture layout giving us the confidence that placement, scale and size would be perfect given our room dimensions. She certainly knew what she was doing and made sure we were not going to make mistakes.
Carole knew every inch of the furniture store. Because she had looked at the information we had sent her prior to our meeting, she was able to guide us through the store optimizing our time only looking at styles we would be interested in. While on the hunt for furniture Carole listened to our likes, dislikes and any ideas we may have had. She gave us her ideas and opinions so that together with her design knowledge and creativity we were able to choose amazing pieces. We were able to complete rooms with furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories. Absolutely the goal was to purchase and furnish our home but there was no sales pressure at any time.
Carole was fun to be with, a true professional who is great at her job keeping us on task, on budget and making sure we found beautiful pieces that fit our lifestyle and to make our home an inviting place to live in.
It would have been impossible to navigate this furniture store on our own in the 2 days we had in High Point. The entire experience was terrific. We would never have accomplished all we did without Carole’s expertise...
Read moreEarlier this month (November, 2017) my wife Louise and I traveled to North Carolina to shop for furniture and furnishings for our new house being built (in Tuscaloosa, Alabama) to replace our home destroyed by a fire Jan. 9, 2017. Our experience with Carole Shea May and Missy Caulk was truly outstanding. My wife made contact with Carole first on Furnitureland's website and Carole shepherded us through the entire process, from working with us via email online, sending us travel instructions, and she welcomed us to Furnitureland with warmth and genuine pleasure to meet us. Then her professional side kicked in and between her and Missy my wife Louise was able to shop and buy and furnish our new home, just about completely (we still have to buy the piano!). I watched these three ladies with awe as they shopped and worked their way through couches, rugs, lamps, beds, and things most men just take for granted. We enjoyed chatting not only about furniture, but also enjoyed learning of each other's background, swapping children stories, where we grew up, and we just enjoyed each other's company tremendously. It made shopping (an activity I usually rank right up there with the flu!) a pleasure even for this curmudgeonly old man. After two full days, we toted up the work, and it was just about on budget, which pleased me to no end. My wife Louise was delighted with the entire experience. So was I. Kudos to Carole and Missy. We'll try to send you business...
Read moreI was unsure of what to expect when we arrived in High Point, and I was dragging my poor husband along who didn’t really want to be there. I wasn’t sure we would find anything I liked given how picky I am. Boy was I surprised by how much we accomplished in less than two days, but more importantly how much my husband and I enjoyed the experience. We ended up purchasing quite a good amount of furniture and are thrilled with our decisions, the value we got, and the overall process. It was totally worth the 5 hour drive from DC and spending the weekend. When there is so much great stuff to pick from, it’s hard not to have fun!
Carole really made this great experience possible by working hand in hand with us to find the right pieces and letting us work through the decision process in our own way, but offering whatever support was needed. She directed us to exactly where we needed to go. I don’t know how anyone could get through all the furniture we saw in 1.5 days and be able to make decisions without Carole’s help, frankly. And why would you even want to? I am someone who likes to see everything before I make a decision, and I got to do that, but was still able to be very efficient about the process. My husband and I both highly recommend Carole, a lady who is tremendously good at her job, and is also really sweet and friendly. You will love...
