Candy Basket Inc. — Local services in Gresham

I am a former Private Label client. When I did a fundraiser with a Gresham elementary school the school didn't want the kids competing & wanted all 500 students to win a prize. Dick and Delores Fuhr, the owners, opened their doors to NINE BUSLOAD of excited children (no shortage of parent volunteers for this field trip!) over THREE DAYS and gave them all a private TOUR of the factory! They are since gone but their son Dale was wonderful to help me w anything I needed. Even 17 years later!! If you treat them w kindness they go overboard to help. For those who say they have less than perfect customer service ,they ALL WORK in the factory & come as quickly as possible TO SERVE you. THANK YOU FUHR FAMILY! You are TREMENDOUS PEOPLE. The chocolates are good but nothing special. The taffy was awful! Bought about 8 different flavors. They all tasted the same, it was impossible to tell what flavor they were supposed to be. They tasted like nothing. Some even tasted stale. Taffy should be soft, chewy and stretchy. This taffy met none of these criteria. Some pieces were actually brittle around the edges. None of them could be pulled to stretch of bite in half. Tried to cut in half with a knife so as to have a bite size piece and chips would actually crumble off. It's VERY small, the chocolate fountain is neat and the candies are wonderful and well priced......Yummy! Delicious! Bought six chocolates and a bag of butterscotch! **NOTE: Customer service is very lacking...actually non-existent. Lady wasn't rude, just didn't care that we were there, couldn't (or wouldn't, not sure!) answer any questions about the food they make, very awkward!
