Took my son to his first swim lesson this morning. His instructor Kayla seemed looked she enjoyed the kids so that's always a plus. The classes are scheduled only with 5 minutes in between, so there doesn't appear to be a chance to all any questions or give the instructor any info. Overall I think this will be a great thing. One thing i absolutely was not ok with was their locker room policy. If your child is 5 years or older, they must use their gender locker room. I'm sorry, but this is just not right. There is no way I would ever send my 5 year old little boy into the men's locker room all by himself! Never! They offer the family changing area but it's just two changing rooms and a shower stall. The actual lessons were fine enough, but the area in general has become so overpopulated that good luck trying to get them in for back to back sessions even if you’re online to register at the exact second registration opens. There really should be priority given to the returning kids because this system of teaching small children to learn to swim they have right now is faulty at best. It does absolutely no good to teach a child basic skills for a measly 2 hours a week for 4 weeks, if they now have to take a month or longer break. Read moreCan't describe the whole place as we were only there for a swim meet. But the aquatic center was very nice although the Bleacher's outside can get very hot under the full force of a hot sun. Actually there are two pools. A 50 meter outside and a 25 yard inside. They also have a really nice rock wall (actually walls plural) with several different belay stations.
