As a previous manager of 2 coffee shops (east coast AND west coast), I can say that customer service in ANY job is A-#1. I always get a large iced ER 911 drink with only 4 cubes (because I appreciate the coldness, without the watered down flavor). Relentlessly, the staff tries (at the bequest of their robot manager and a ridiculous policy) to charge my drink as a "cold-pour," which costs extra, due to an extra shot added to preserve the original flavor of the drink, BUT an ER 911 already has more shots & I'm used to & desire the flavor exactly as I order it. Instead of just making drinks, they typically measure all ingredients (an excellent process for portion control)but CAN be overlooked in instances like this (making to measure & topping off with roughly 2-4oz. of half & half (about 40 cents worth of product (based on the inflated costs of having it delivered to the site). In Corvallis, after my veteran's discount the same drink costs $6.65... in Gresham (for some reason) after the discount, I'm forced to pay $7.15 ... different franchisee maybe? Then the manager always insists that they hand it out, with between 2-4 ounces of empty space at the top. When I ask for it to be topped off, they insist that I pay for a cold pour (the largest cost increase is for the added shot (which, if you remember I don't want or need)). Today the manager raised their voice at me over 40 cents for a $7.15 cent sale... so 40 cents from an inflated many dollar profit margin is worth losing a customer? Apparently I can only get my coffee when I'm in Corvallis. Fine for me. So, since I'm a daily customer (wherever/whenever I am) you lost $214.50 in monthly sales, over a squabble of $12 dollars of "extra cream..." Boy THAT managerial decision is obviously the CREAM of the crop. I said GOODBYE, Dutchies on Kane, in Gresham......
Read moreI love Dutch Bros. but I don't like the customer service. Either it's so in your face it's annoying or the service is terrible. Most of the time im fine with it, the employees are friendly and I'm in and out fast. A few times I've had bad experiences and after this one I'm not going back. One day I wanted an iced tea and because the tea had to be brewed separately and then poured over ice, it was a huge issue and the employee had to educate me on how to order that drink "just so I know for the future." Like she was shaking her finger at me. She told me twice how to order it, just so I knew. She made a snarky comment while making my drink, yelling to ask other employees if there was anyone behind me in line sounding very impatient. It made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them. It is not hard to brew tea and then pour it over some ice which is all I was asking. I would have been fine if they'd even just given me a cup of ice if it was such an issue. And that was after I left a large tip because prior to that experience I'd always been happy with Dutch bros and I realized they were going out of their way to make a specialized drink for me. After today I won't be going back. I ordered my usual blended coffees for me and my husband. I felt like the employee lurked after I paid to see how much I was going to tip. I guess he didn't like what I'd tipped (after waiting for 10 minutes) because he made me the worst coffee I've ever purchased from Dutch bros. I ordered quads and those drinks literally tasted like there was no coffee in them. He put an extra shot of coffee in there without charging me which was nice but it still was kind of shocking. I've never had such a horrible experience...
Read moreHave been coming to this location very often because it's on the way home after I drop off my baby. The experience has been good up until recently.Yesterday I got my first rebel drink and it was delicious.it is a $5 drink plus tip so it's basically $6. A lot of money for a drink, and I only got to drink about five sips.why? There's about full cup of ice left behind. However, I got my 10th stamps! I was not that mad. So today I visited the stand again and I expressed that I would like light ice and claiming my free drink. What I got, was a two third full of a drink.so light ice means you don't get ice AND you don't get your drinks either. Terrible business practice. To top of my anger, the associate told me I am missing a stamp. Oh no no.The precious associate did a terrible job only stamped a corner, but I get this free half of a drink fair and square! I tip every single time before I even get my drink, regardless if the drinks are made right or not. I shouldn't have! Well, now the associate looking at me like I'm mooching off of them. So I left...
