I truly believe there should be an option for minus 5 stars, which Ill go for right away. We live a few minutes away from the mall and when the weather is bad and the kids cant play in our backyard or the pool we go there shopping and for the playground. 9 times out of 10 the play area is closed for no reason or if there are 8-10 kids playing security guard will pop up from somewhere and close it down or explain how the kids should be careful playing, not jumping or running. This is a PLAYGROUND, not a LIBRARY and they supposed to know that, the parents are responsible for their kids and how they act. The same thing happen again today playground was open and as soon as my two sons and two other kids that we dont know walk in and take their shoes off the security pop up from somewhere and close the playground leaving 4 kids crying with no explanation why they should close it at right this moment. They suppose to fix this and keep it open during the hours of operation of the mall or have specified hours of operation for it listed somewhere or just shut it down for good, since they cant manage it. Most of the kids who was there was playing in the rest areas jumping and running around the sofas, maybe this works better... Really disappointing, will never go there again, better spend few more minutes to cross the bridge and...
Read moreCompared to other malls in other cities, I've traveled to. this one definitely had some of the rudest people shopping and equally as rude employees at some of the shops, more than half of the shops we went into. No one greets you. They don't ask if you need help, and if you do need help, they act like you're bothering them. So much for customer service. One of the high-end stores we went into had some really adorable high heels (they were about $900). My daughter may only be 20 years old. You should never judge a book by its cover. She was looking for heels and wanted to try them on (though the store was not busy). The employees noticed us walk in but did not offer any assistance. while my daughter was standing there looking for an employee to help her, another customer walked up to the table my daughter was standing at. One of the employees at the counter talking started walking towards them. the customer grabbed the high heel out of my daughter's hand and stated very loudly that she needed help. The employee rushed over and began to help her. I expressed to the customer how extremely rude she was. They both looked at us and then went back to talking. Loved our trip to Louisiana but most likely won't be visiting this mall or...
Read moreMe and my family love coming here! So many different stores and great prices. The food court is stunning, the food is delicious and the place is spacious! The clothes stores are just chefs kiss, i love all the products i’ve gotten over the years from this mall and it holds a special place in my heart. I’ve grown up going to the mall for Eid, Ramadan, birthdays, hangouts, shopping sprees and even being the first place my sister went to in her first year of living in the United States! Oakwood center will forever be a core memory for me and I hope it is for many others too! Thank you Oakwood for all the special memories, smiles, giggles and laughs you’ve given me, my family and friends...
