Arc Electric — Local services in Grimes

In the competitive marketplace for service providers, Arc Electric stands out. My business was looking for a Level 2 Car Charging Outlet to be installed. We went thru 5 different companies and contractors for estimates for service. It got so frustrating that we even considered doing the work ourselves watching YouTube Videos.

In the end I stumbled across Arc Electric who uses a Google Marketing Platform built right into their online listing. I was able to book an appointment in 5 minutes for next day service during a 2 hour window of availability that worked for me.

I was notified via email that my appointment was confirmed. Later I got another email reminder.

On the day of service I got a 3rd email 25 minutes before my scheduled appointment telling me that a service tech was on the way.

I was given the service techs name - Hugo Montiel and his contact number.

Hugo Montiel arrived early to the appointment. We talked about what I wanted to do and where I wanted to install the Level 2 charger. Hugo made some good suggestions on location and why one spot was better than another.

Hugo Montiel then looked at my inside setup and we talked through what he would be doing and how I could have piece of mind knowing that his work would be backed by ARC and letting me know that ARC had insurance and a warranty for the products that the sold and installed.

During the install, Hugo Montiel let me video his step by step process explaining everything he was doing in detail.

At one point my 16 year old son asked me to find out if ARC had an apprenticeship program that he might find out information on and Hugo Montiel guided us to ARC's Facebook page so my son could get information on the ARC apprenticeship program.

Hugo Montiel was fun to talk to and very skilled and efficient.

Going into my appointment I knew approximately what this kind of service was going to cost and Hugo let me know based on what I needed he could be flexible since the job was very easy.

We agreed on a price and Hugo opened his iPad to send me a detailed invoice and process my credit card.

Total time on the job was less than an hour at a great price.

Morgan was called out to our rural residence recently. We moved a double wide home to our current property and needed all new electric installed. My fiance as a farmer/homeowner could do all his own work (according to IEEB) and was seeking guidance from the "professionals." Upon her arrival we asked what was needed and she gave him a whole list. That next week he did all the required things on Morgan's list and called her back out for an inspection and to pull a permit for service. She had acted as though she knew nothing about him doing my own work per her list of requirements and said she'd have her "supervisor" call him back. Her supervisors response was that they "didn't feel comfortable inspecting and pulling a permit on work that Arc didn't do and that they would have to undo everything he did and redo do it." Charge him insane amount of money for work that's already done. Now why would Morgan give him the go ahead and a list of what he needed to do? She is very unprofessional and should have given him the right/correct information. Luckily he doesn't need Arc for anything as he can pull his own permit for service. So thanks for wasting our...

I just received the best service I could have ever imagined from two of the most professional young men from ARC Electric! Nick & Calieb not only resolved an outlet issue for me, they also helped identify which outlets two switches operated in a house my daughter and her boyfriend just bought in old Waukee. Nick took the time to explain how the switches operated with the outlets, which I greatly appreciated because I’m i “do-it-herselfer”.

I can’t speak to the price, as I haven’t received an invoice yet, but no matter, I will most definitely call them again for all my electronically needs. As the president of a townhome association, the homeowners come to me for advice on who to call regarding home repairs. You can bet ARC Electric will be the one I refer them too! I will also advise our property management company to add them to their list of “preferred vendors” for all of their other properties!
