My grandson showed me the Volcon electric vehicles online last summer. I decided to buy the Runt as a birthday surprise for him and the Grunt for myself so we could ride together. I did a dealership search and called a few of the nearest dealers. When I called Hicklin Power Sports and spoke with Chris, I knew immediately that this is who I wanted to do business with (even though they are over two hours away). First of all, he returned my call (and all subsequent calls and texts) promptly. He was friendly, informative, and not rushed to make a sale. Because of limited supply from the company, the bikes had to be ordered. Through no fault of Hicklin, there was a long delay in getting the bikes delivered. Chris, from the time the bikes were ordered until I made a pickup, kept in contact with me with follow up. He and his supervisor regularly called the company representatives to get information about the status of our bikes and were completely transparent even in expressing their own frustration with the delay. On the day of pick up, we first enjoyed exploring the store and looking at all the inventory they had. My grandson was able to get in or on everything he wanted to. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly and were genuine in asking if they could help us or if we had any questions. We did not feel pressured in anyway and felt comfortable just exploring and checking everything out. When we were ready to take delivery, the bike was wheeled out into the open, and everything was showed and explained to us. The paperwork was completed before we arrived and required just a few quick signatures, taking less than three minutes to review and sign. Before we loaded the bike, we decided we wanted to test drive a side-by-side that we are interested in. Within minutes literally, we were on our way. We had not given any advance notice that we were going to test drive anything. Chris himself quickly retrieved the vehicle and added fuel , showed us what we needed to know. and off we went. We did not have to sign any papers, etc. To top it all off, they had a great area to test ride sitting in an industrial park area. We were able to drive up and down virtually no traffic streets and turn around in wide open parking lots catching some recently plowed snow. Loading the bike was a breeze. They wheeled it Into the bed of the truck carefully and helped us tie it down properly and securely. We then drove to one of the many nearby restaurants and had a great lunch with great service ( highly recommend the Chicken Coop). This time around, I worked with Brice, who was transparent, helpful, and easy to communicate with over the phone and in person. We discussed numbers, and he worked with me to reach a solid and fair deal. They made it clear they valued my business and were willing to make the deal work—and they delivered. I walked away with a great price on a brand-new 2024 bike, a deal other dealerships wouldn’t touch.
Joe, the sales manager, handled my paperwork. He was thorough, understanding, and made the whole process quick, effortless, and even enjoyable.
I also want to give a big shout-out to Cole in the parts department, who’s been helping me for years. Whether it’s parts or oil (even for bikes they don’t carry parts for), Cole has always been reliable. He’s even helped my girlfriend when she had no idea what she needed, and during this purchase, he went above and beyond—throwing in a jacket and ensuring I had a great experience.
The team at Hicklin breaks the stereotype of pushy, shady dealerships. Brice, Joe, and Cole made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable, and I left without any guilt, stress, or regret. They’ve earned my loyalty, and I’ll continue doing business with them.

Read moreToday I had 2 tires mounted and balanced. When I made it home to put the tires on I noticed the bead wasn't fully seated on the rim on the rear tire. I had to break the tire down and reseat the bead properly (a service that I had paid for). After, I filled the tire with air I noticed that there was a leak from the base of the valve stem. Front tire was mounted correctly but was informed that it was out of true and would need taken to a wheel Smith to fix this. I chose hicklin powersports for the convenience of their location in accordance to mine, unfortunately this isn't the first bad service I have received but it will be the last. Follow up: I received a call from the service manager about the experience I had. He ased if there was anything they could do to make this right and I greatly appreciate this. I was given the option to bring my wheels back and they would make them right or in exchange for deleting my review, they would refund me my full amount. I choose to have my wheels serviced by another shop that provided me friendly customer service as well as a professional service experience. When I received my wheels back I got the rundown on my wheels. The front tire that I originally found no issue with was 3 1/4oz out of balance when first spun. So their technician broke the wheel down spun 180° and rebalanced with less weight. I was also informed that neither wheel was out of true.
