Fareway Meat and Grocery — Local services in Grinnell

Honestly I've had ENOUGH with the ARROGANT, SUPERIOR employees who speak to me like I don't have one brain cell in my head!

This town has 2 other major grocers including Walmart and the Dollar Stores. I never have a problem with any of the others. I'm perfectly comfortable in any of our other grocers.

But this store is weird for some reason, and I can't put my finger on it .

They have odd selections like they will have Ham salad only and nothing not made of pork.

And anything sweet they jack their prices up really high.

In fact, they are way overpriced in general. I had quite the sticker shock coming there the first time.

They are also closed on Sundays, when the other stores are not.

Bur the worst of it is that some of their employees speak to me like I'm 5 freaking years old.

I am VERY INSULTED. I am tired of their insult, the fact that their selection is limited and smacks of prejudice to some groups of people

And I guess they just think they are ALL THAT (and they aren't any of it).

I'm done and boycotting them, and I'll go get my groceries where I'm comfortable and feel respected.

I can't figure out what is weird about them, but something IS.

This is also my 2nd or 3rd problem with them. They are closest to where I live, but it's worth driving further to find welcome and...

For a mid-sized town they have a larger than most Fareway... along with a small Hy-vee, department store sized Walmart "Superstore" & 1 local mom & pop grocer. I found it surprising couldn't find any store brand 2-liters, when they have the space to be able to fit another 1-2 aisles. Considering the companies high grocery prices in comparison to other main stream grocery chains & lack of hours (closed on Sundays), 1 of 100 grocery trips involves a Fareway...

A real butcher shop excellent all the people are nice they're closed on Sundays a rarity they make their own fresh ground beef a cannibal like me eat it right out of the counter but that's because when I was small the butcher would give me some while he was grinding his ground beef but the point is you can eat it you know what's in it excellent...
