Pismo Beach Golf Course is a stunning 9-hole golf course with a 3-Par rating, located directly on the beach along the central California coast. Any golf lover must visit this destination known for its golf courses and beautiful beaches. The temperature on the beach is consistently 65 degrees, with a pleasant breeze. You cannot book tee times in advance at this public golf course. This allows for the flexibility of attending the course at any time during the day or week and securing a tee time within 30 minutes of arriving at the golf course on the same day. The prices are superb. Walking the course costs $18 for 9 holes. If you’d like to rent a golf cart, it will cost $33 for 9 holes. Golf club rentals for both genders and any age include half sets. The putting green, located behind the golf clubhouse, needs better upkeep. It is suitable for novice golfers, but falls short for golfers with intermediate to advanced skills. The gift shop offers a wide selection of golf balls, accessories, and gear at incredible prices. In the club, there is a TV with a large screen available for viewing before or after your game. The food options are limited and outdated, so we suggest bringing your own snacks for the day. The condition of the course is superb, both on the fairways and around the rough edges. Nonetheless, the greens could use some improvement in order to enhance the playing experience for intermediate to advanced golfers. They are great for amateur golfers. The atmosphere, location, and course are all fantastic. We will be back to this course many times for...
Read moreThis is a GEM of an executive style, all par-3 golf course. It will steal your heart as it has mine since I was but a wee lad, but I am more than happy to have left it in the hands of such a deserving destination. The beautiful layout/design requires just enough skill to score well and to hold the interest of experienced players but it certainly isn't overwhelming or intimidating for the novice or even 1st time golfer, with the exception of hole number seven, which requires a 100 + yard carry over a large pond. For such a highly trafficked and well loved course, the condition is good. The only area of concern is that the greens are a bit on the bumpy side of the "bump-o-meter" spectrum, but this is more a reflection on the golfers' casual or even innocently ignorant attitude towards fixing ball marks than it is a actual course maintenance problem. For that reason I cannot deduct a star for this review... all said, my 5 star review is meant to give confidence that you won't be disappointed in the cost/quality ratio, and btw, the green fees are very reasonable. I am 57 and didn't quite meet the senior rate requirements, but it still only cost me an $18 greens fee for the twilight rate. Do yourself and any of your golfer friends a favor by making plans to play here the 1st opportunity you get to visit the Central Coast area of California. Happy...
Read moreMake sure you check the time. They have unlimited holes with a cart $20 special after 1pm but Hal won't tell you that you have to know about it or he'll charge you $23 per 9 holes. So be sure to ask about the special . It's a fun little 9 he course in good shape. Lots of fun. And actually worth the $23 just don't like being taken advantage of. If you have a special let people know. I went in at 2:30 hit the first 9 in an hour so went to hit a second 9 and he charged me another $23 and then said we'll if you knew about the special you could have saved money, i said so your not going to cut me some slack? Nope. I let it go at first until I found out he charged the couple I played the 2nd 9 with the $23 that were from our of town . I spoke to him after my second round and he reluctantly refunded me the $26 he overcharged me. Honestly I highly recommend the course just check the pricing. It's posted on the wall but I didn't see it nor was I made aware of it until I paid the second $23 then he points to it and said with a chuckle we'll if you knew about the special....... It wasn't about the $23 it was that he never mentioned anything about the...
