We have stayed at Le Sage Riviera a few times. We enjoyed our stays. We planned on going back for July 2nd through the 3rd. I made the reservation with the Manager herself, Amy on June 4, 2022. She had promised to send an email confirmation, after I had given her my credit card. I never received the email. I called a few days later, then I received it. The confirmation email showed what I owed at check in. Nowhere in that email did it say I owed a deposit. Where it begins to go South...I received a rather abrupt voicemail message from Amy at 4:13 pm last night. I called her back after my work day ended and left her a voicemail as to my confusion about my deposit. In my message I reminded her I had given her my credit card number and received an email confirmation saying pay at check in, which now I began to wonder why she needed my card if I were to just pay when I got there, for the DEPOSIT Perhaps. She called me again this morning while I was at work, I called on my lunch hour and it went to voicemail. My message I left was "How can I resolve this if everytime I call, you never pick up the phone. I am not leaving my credit card number on this voicemail, please let me know of the issue" No call back, I called again and Amy answered, she was immediately off put with me. I asked the question as to why I am just finding out now I needed to make a deposit, isn't that why I gave you my credit card in the first place? She certainly did not respond like you would think. She said my card came back as it needed to be scanned. So then I asked her, "ok, then why am I finding out about this now" well that really set her off. She accused me of being rude. I wasn't, I reminded her I had the right to ask why my card was being requested again. I heard another person in the background, I asked if if I could speak with them instead since I seemed to be annoying her. She responded with, "that's my daughter and no you can't talk to her" Then she blurted out " THIS RESERVATION IS CANCELED" then she hung up on me. I called several times though-out today. One time I did reach her and I asked can I please just resolve this, she said no and hung up again. My husband called her and she told him I was being way out of line. She told him I wanted to speak to the person I heard in the back ground, but then she told my husband it was her mother. Daughter/Mother, either way she told us two different things. I thinks, she had someone that wanted our spot for more than one night and she created an issue where there should not have been one, to make more money. This is terrible for us just two days before our trip . I would never trust a place like this. We think the owner Bill Le Sage should know what his manager is doing and how we were great customers in the past. Stay away or insist she run your card while you are on the phone. To append, her excuse was, she did run the card but she made a mistake with the numbers...again, my question as to why I am just finding out two days...
Read moreCheck in was difficult dealing with the dark haired lady who questioned everything. We had called ahead of time to verify the correct length of our vehicles just to ensure there would be no problem. The lady we spoke with on the phone was great and thanked us for verifying and said we actually had longer sites and it was no problem. The lady who checked us in was so confused, told my husband to come into the office, and then said he had to get out because he wasn't allowed in there (he was wearing a mask, she was not!) Our friends we arrived with had made the reservations and the woman checking us in just couldn't seem to understand that our friend had made two reservations in his name and she had a hard time with that concept. When we finally got to our spot (with the kind aid of Gus and his trusty golf cart), we settled in. Probably the worst thing about this trip was he next morning our friends wife's legs and feet, and my husband legs were covered with literally hundreds of bites from the knees down. Had to have been fleas Had to have come from the camp sites. This park is not only pet friendly, but has no restrictions of any part of the park being "pet free". Dogs being walked were allowed to pee wherever and the parked smelled of dog pee. We had dogs on either side of us and were given two spots up against the fence that backs to Highway 1. While we had been forewarned by other reviewers, we were a bit startled by how close (across the street) the Starline Coaster was four times a day. Traffic noise was constant. The spaces were nowhere near level, and if we tried to put the provided picnic table in a level spot there was no room to park our tow vehicle. The laundry and restroom/showers were closed, we imagine from COVID worries, but it was never mentioned when we checked in. We also read a review that said a coach was turned away because their vehicle was "too old"; and while ours is a 2021, there were many, many motor homes that were over 10 years old in the park. Must be at the whim of the office! The advertised pictures and park description were misleading at best. We honestly would never go back to or recommend...
Read moreAt a monthly rate of over $1000 one would expect a different experience. Logistically, it is next to a beautiful scenic area of the beach (its only advantage). With that said, there is easy beach access and therefore the foot traffic and visitors can be questionable. The park is open and exposed making your safety questionable. The laundry facility is located across the street, so you need to drive your vehicle back and forth to do laundry.||||You are less than 20 feet from the highway. If you are located on the fence side it will feel like you are in the middle of the road. The train tracks are on the other side of the road. Given the residential area, the trains siren are rather loud, both night and day. If you are parked on the other side, there is an abundance of mosquitos from the creek. ||||Physically inside the park ,it is all dirt with a few stones. The pathways are very narrow and they try to rent to as large of a rig as possible. During my short stay there were two incidents where a person's vehicle parked in front was sideswiped by a trailer trying to park.||||There is another strange aspect to this park, something I had not seem before in any park. In addition to the sewer pipe in the ground there is a pole sticking up 15 feet or so between each RV. In the afternoon the park becomes filled with a faint smell of sewer. They say it is because the sewer is connected to the city dump from the beach. The smell is actually coming out of the top of the pipe next to your hose. I don't fully understand what this pipe sticking out of the ground is connected to, but it is not comforting to have it next to your rig with fumes coming from it everyday.||||One night I heard a lot of noise from inside the park. Afterwards I learned that one of the long-term tenants was fighting and throwing belongings out of a trailer. I heard that the neighbor next to them moved immediately not feeling secure and the management refused to refund them the money. I do not know the exact details, but it was enough to cross this park off my list. ||||There are too many other well managed parks in the area to take a chance on...
