Sushi 805 was good service was good I would visit again. The restaurant is right on Grand ave near the entrance to the Oceano Dunes, right up the street from the Monarch Butterflies migration spot, not far away from Pismo Beach. We had a firecracker appetizer, green tea, miso soup, a shrimp tempura roll and a Hawaiian roll. All of the food was good my only issue is I feel like the fried onions on my Hawaiian roll may not have been fresh to order / were a bit stale. I order this type of roll wherever they have it so that would be my constructive criticism. I’m not docking any points because otherwise, everything was good but that would have made it perfect. Not quite sure what was going on with that as my wonton chips in the firecracker were fresh. Overall like I said I would visit again. Apparently they also do all you can eat here, and also have Korean BBQ in addition to Japanese skewers and Ramen. Give it a try.

Why have I never been here before!?!? This place is amazing. I drive by it twice a day for the last 2 years and always avoided it due to not liking sushi, at all. The wifey wanted to try something new so I'm like, what's the worst that can happen. Let me tell you, this place far surpassed my expectations. For one, they have a $27 all you can eat option, which sushi aside, looked great. But we opted for individual plates. Got the yakisoba, shrimp fried rice and teriyaki chicken with a small kabob? on the side. With 2 beers and a soda it was a little more than $50 but we both left full and happy. Food was delicious, fresh and very flavorful. I love the use of sesame oil in the noodles. So good. I'm actually debating about going back tonight. This will be the place for date night, taking our daughter out to eat or when family comes into town. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Went to this place on Valentines. Loved the service and food. All you can eat sushi ends at 7pm and it's 45 bucks for each person. There was a wait for table if you didn't reserve. It wasn't bad considering it was on Valentines. However I expected to get a call from the restaurant to let us know when our table was ready. We did not get a call, and our name for a table was crossed out. They let us in as the last customer because we were waiting that long. We were the last people for the all you can eat menu. Food came out quickly and they do it in courses so you don't order too much after you are full. Besides us never getting a call from the restaurant and our name being crossed out for a table causing me and my partner to wait longer, food was very good and so was service. Would come again.

Part 1 I would give this place zero stars but since they only limit me to having one star review, they can go ahead and count this as a minus 1 star review.

I will never eat here ever again and I recommend you go spend your money at some other joint elsewhere even some hole in the wall ma and pa restaurant would be better than this place for many reasons. These people act like thugs. Wait till I share with you my full experience.… You’ll say “nope, not even gonna bother wasting my time testing the waters there.”

We placed our phone order just after 8 PM - an hour before they close. Our order consisted of seven cucucumber with avocado rolls- sesame seeds around the outside and and the salted/vinegar rice like they make it. We also ordered three eel rolls With the sesame seeds and the salted / vinegar rice. We ordered a spicy salmon roll and a spicy tuna roll with sesame seeds and the salted /vinegar rice. We ordered chicken udon with the big noodles and chopped vegetables in it. We ordered 2 orders of miso with tofu and green onions in it. We ordered a spicy chicken Ramen soup. This is a pretty standard order of just basic stuff. nothing fancy or special.

We picked up our order, and without even looking inside the bags (which they had tied up in a tight knot so that you have to rip the bag open)- we gave them a $15 tip (Which I would never do to just pick up food - but I was trusting and affirming their business with the assumption that everything will be there.)

Stay tuned for part two you won’t believe the amount of errors and lack of accountability these people take regarding their food preparation. To find out what happened – just look for my...

I've been here before a few years back and really enjoyed the the meal and dining experience. This time around I was picking up take out and it was a bit of a let down. Before I get into that though, I want to be clear that the staff were all friendly, professional, and had our order ready in a timely manner. They're the ones that kept this from being a one star review. Unfortunately, the restaurant and food quality have dropped off significantly since my last visit. The interior of the restaurant has changed a lot from the pictures you can see in Google. The booths and decor are gone, leaving only a few scattered tables. This may have been done to allow social distancing, which is understandable, but it's a major change from what's seen online so it's worth pointing out. Then there was the food. I ordered a roll, sushi, nigiri, and yaki-soba. The standout issue was the rice, which was overcooked and had a unique flavor that took away from the rest of the roll/sushi. Additionally, the cuts of fish were thin and the roll was small. The pricing for these items was nearly identical to other nearby sushi restaurants but the quality of ingredients and portion size was well below what I'd expect at that price point. Last, the yaki-soba was so lacking in flavor it was surprising. It didn't taste bad by any means, but with all of the vegetables and ingredients it had there just wasn't really any flavor from them. It just tasted like oiled noodles. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and I can't see myself ordering from here again when there are other options nearby offering either better prices or better...

We came in around 8:30/8:40PM and were told they were only doing take out orders, okay, understandable. They have us sit down to look at the menu for our order and immediately after doing so ask us what we want to order… No time to really look over the menu and decide what we want. It was a little off putting. I decided to order their Spicy Ramen to go… the server asked me if i wanted to eat it there, this was after saying they could only do to-go, so then I was confused. My husband and daughters ordered the same three rolls, gyoza, and the spicy garlic edamame. No Drinks. All of which was terrible. They did not finish their food. My ramen did not even taste like ramen, but Birria Tacos— which would have been cool if i ordered tacos… lol. The gyoza tasted and looked store bought/freezer quality. The spicy garlic edamame just tasted like BBQ sauce, no spice, no garlic. Over $100 for all of this just for us to not be able to enjoy or finish our food after being rushed to order. I was okay with making a to-go order but wish they would have just said no more orders for the night instead. I’m hoping it was out of spite for us coming in for their last 30 minutes and not the quality of food they are serving all day, because the prices do not reflect in the quality of their food! I will not be coming back and will be making sure to tell our friends who are also...
