H-E-B — Local services in Groves

I had a bad experience at this HEB around 10 AM today. While walking down Aisle 2 (BBQ sauces and ketchups), an older employee with two younger workers was stocking the shelves. There was a mess of empty boxes and products on the floor, but no barricades, cones, or tape to show the aisle was closed.When I walked through, the older worker rudely told me something along the lines of it was “common sense” that the aisle was blocked. even though nothing was actually blocking it. She then made me go all the way around just to grab my cart. I didn’t get her name, but I was pretty upset at how unprofessional the situation was handled. At the very least, she should have put up a sign or a physical barricade instead of just leaving a mess all over the floor. I pointed this out to her which made her upset but as soon as I walked off she used a shopping cart to block the aisle. This used to be my favorite H-E-B, but after this experience I’ll be shopping at walmart from now on. Management really needs to address safety and customer...

So I'm the only one in line and all items are on the treadmill while the clerk and another employee are engaged in a conversation (not work related)...I'm waiting. She even cleans something on her right. Then she greets me and begins to process my items. In the middle of my transaction, she's listening to the conversation of a customer who has come in line behind me....and mentions to me that she's eavesdropping. I thought employees were sent to a " customer service training " before being released to the floor. Honestly. I probably looked perturbed because I've trained hundreds of employees on "customer service skills" and I get easily agitated when I witness...

Store coolers were going out, there were 3 that food had already been removed from the shelfs and the one I got my egg rolls out of was at about 60 degrees, they had 2 breakfast ribeyes with a price of $32.95, and a couple of weeks ago they were $8.95 that's a big difference in price. Overall I got most of the things I was looking for, I've been shopping at this store for the last 20 years, and when I was leaving the store I saw a A/C man working on the Ice Machine that stores the bag ice, it wasn't working either, so if you live in Groves TX you might want to go to the big...
