We visited Old Navy today and had a very uncomfortable experience that I feel needs to be addressed. There was only one cashier at the front, and the line moved incredibly slow — we waited around 18–20 minutes just to reach the register.
But the real issue began once we got there. Not only did we wait that long just to get to checkout, it then took an uncomfortably long time to complete the transaction. The employee appeared to be having some kind of mental crash — she was saying wildly off-topic, bizarre things that had nothing to do with the checkout process. My kids kept giving me side-eyes like, “What is this lady even talking about?”
It wasn’t just quirky — it was unsettling. She should not have been working the front register alone in that state. I don’t know what kind of support she may need, but clearly something was wrong, and it made for a very awkward and uncomfortable experience.
