Although it's a nice shop with lots of products, one thing really stood out to me in a very negative way. I watched someone who was clearly new to surfing asking questions about what board to buy. The sales guy was pushing a used board on consignment that would have clearly been too small foe him which would have made it very difficult and discouraging to learn. I assume it was a board of a friend he was trying to sell clearly at the expense of the guy. That wasn't it. Then the guy bought the board and after he left the sales guy was snickering that the "kook" had no idea what he was doing. I really wish I would have stepped in and told the guy that board was way to small to learn on, but I unfortunately just minded my business. This shop claims to have values, and maybe it was an isolated incident but that wasn't cool at all. It's the community that supports small business and this guy just took total advantage of someone clearly trying to learn a new hobby. Picked up a beautiful 6'6" Innerlight Long Fish today. I'm a beginner-intermediate surfer, 155lbs, 5'11" tall. I've been needing to step down from my 7' fun board, because it bogs down on the turns and can't swing up fast enough in small, pitchy surf. I expected an adjustment period, but this board is fat and floaty, and it caught just about every wave. Absolutely dreamy. The volume is really close to the front, so even though I lost 6" length it only took a little more paddle to get into the wave. Easy to paddle, easy to turn. All around fun Gulf board. Great step-down board or even beginner board for someone on the smaller side. Perfect for fast, little waves like...

Booked surf lessons for my daughters on our last trip to Pensacola.

Day 1 - Tom Hutson. Tom could not have been better, his patience and ability to coach the girls was fantastic. By the end of the lesson both girls were able to stand, balance and ride in to shore with Tom's help catching the wave!

Day 2 - Chance Wallis. The next lesson introduced us to Chance. Chance gave the girls a brief lesson on shore to teach the basics of paddling as well as reinforced the mechanics of standing up when catching a wave. By the end of the 2nd lesson, both girls were able to catch waves, get up and ride them to shore.
