Pier 33 — Local services in Gulf Shores

I recently attended the Hangout Festival and in between partying and enjoying the atmosphere my wife and I stopped off here for a coffee. The waitress who served us, a young Jamaican girl was amazing. She was polite, professional and really friendly. I forgot to get her name but she really is an asset to the company.

The food and coffee was delicious and served promptly making it the perfect way to unwind and relax.

My only complaint was the attitude of an older Indian gentleman who I assume was the manager who seemed to take great pleasure in doing nothing whilst continuously berating his staff who were all rushed off their feet.

I actually tried to speak to him and lighten the mood but received a sarcastic remark about tourists telling him how to do his job. Furthermore he was extremely unsettling in the way he kept staring at my wife. We are both disabled and found this extremely upsetting.

I loved the venue and the festival was amazing my only advice would be to switch the staff around. Promote that waitress and hide that creep out the back so he can't make anymore customers feel...

This place is overpriced on everything! The items are marked at a price of 35% and more. We bought few things anyway and then did not use couple of things that we did not open (Vicks and cough drops). At first cashier told me that she will do the return after she rings up all other customers. Then she started the process of return. She did not know how to complete the return and went to get someone to help her. The lady who came to help the cashier said they would not take it back even though the sign only said no returns on beach stuff/toys. Vicks and cough drops are not not stuff. She said the manager told her no returns on anything. When I pointed out to the sign that it states only no returns on beach and not everything she told me to come back tomorrow. I have wasted my time and we will not come back there. Avoid this...

I have shopped at this little shop for years. I work on West Beach most days of the week. I will not spend another cent of my hard earned money here. I was screamed at by an employee. I am not using the word screamed lightly. I was so embarrassed. I knocked on the bathroom door for a fast break,the lady opened the door and screamed in my face " I'm cleaning it" ! I had no idea someone knocked before me,I found out after ,the lady screamed at that child as well. I'll add there was NO SIGN saying it was closed or being cleaned. The entire store heard her. The lady's laying on the front register counter just looked at me as I quietly walked out the door. I felt like a small scolded child,if it's so bothering, put up a sign please. I would happily NOT knock on your door left red faced....
