Well it finally happened that our dishwasher was truly âall washed upâ time to go to my local big box store that starts with an âLâ and ends with an âSâ and purchase a new one. Maybe this time will be different and be a good experience unlike most times in the past that I go and actually have to find a human to help me with my purchase? I wonât keep you in suspense any longer....IT WASNâT DIFFERENT! I make my way back to the appliances and once again it looks like there is only one person covering the whole department! Aforementioned person is already helping someone so I will wait my turn. One might think in the 15 MINUTES that I waited I would have at least gotten my very presence acknowledged with a âhello be right with youâ but no this is 2021 and everyone knows that true âcustomer serviceâ is DEAD! Long story short they donât have the dishwasher I picked out in stock until the end of May? So I say no thanks and leave empty handed. I then make my way to where I should have gone in the first place, itâs my local family owned appliance store,Trouts Appliance. I walk in the store and literally the second my two feet hit the floor I hear two ladies greet me with a âHelloâ now thatâs a novel concept! Make the customer feel welcome???!!! Talk about over achievers! In less than 10 minutes I pick out a dishwasher, pay for it and itâs set for delivery the next day. Next day comes and they show up when they said they would and remove my old washed up dishwasher and install the new one, and just like it should be they were professional and the only way you could tell that they had been there was to look at the new dishwasher! Now I know what your thinking, local places like Troutâs charge more?! In my case that wasnât the case BUT letâs say there is some truth to that here and there WHAT IS YOUR TIME WORTH?! Turns out true Customer service is not dead, itâs alive and well at...
Read moreI recently purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator and was very satisfied with the sales staff and delivery personnel. My only concern was that once the refrigerator was delivered I was told that there would be an extra charge of $50 to reverse the swing of the doors. Because of the restricted space in my kitchen I have to stand in my dining room each time to open the refrigerator. I would think a popular store such as Trout's would have first asked me which way I wanted the door to swing open and would have included this service as part of the transaction as a service to their customers. I also purchased their 5 year warranty for an additional $149. When I checked with LOWE'S they said they wouldn't charge extra to reverse the doors. I believe Trout's should realize that customer service and satisfaction goes beyond making the sale and writing up the purchase. It would have been nice if I was told there would be an extra charge at the time of purchase or inquired which way I preferred the...
Read moreHave bought from this company in the past. Went in the other day to see if they would service an oven that I bought from lowes.... figuring that they do service work as well.. I was wrong. The first thing I was asked was did you buy it from here.. I told them no and the owner said he couldn't help me since I didn't buy it from them. This was not in warranty with lowes. This is why I went for trouts to see about them getting it working again. Since they say the service appliances as well. The sad thing about this is that if they was to come out and couldn't get it working I would have bought a new unit from them. So their loss for poor customer service. I will never go back in there again for any reason. I believe a good company that says they do service work would service all appliances no matter where they were purchased.. this would be a good way to get...
