Back at the Ranch Furniture — Local services in Gunnison

Bait & switch. We purchased a mattress from them in June during the 4th of July sale. We were told the mattress would be delivered the following week. When we called to check and delivery they just didn’t know. Lo and behold it had to be ordered and they had no information on timing.

When I complained to the manager, I was told - for the first time - that if we wanted THE SAME MATTRESS it was $200 more for in stock items.

So they have the mattress, don’t bother to tell us that, and we’re still waiting.

As I said in my email to the manager, we could have purchased a mattress on line, but chose to do business locally. This is our thanks.

EDIT after reading business response; We WERE told that the mattress would be delivered the following Tuesday or Wednesday depending upon delivery personnel. Only when we called did we learn it had to be ordered and would be at least two weeks.

We were NOT told that the same mattress was available in stock for $200 more.

When the order with Ranch was cancelled, we were able to get the same mattress delivered THE NEXT DAY (on the 4th of July even) from Mattress Firm...

Recently, we moved into a new home in Mt Crested Butte. We brought nothing in the way of furniture with us, as we wanted a new style. Our first steps into Back at that Ranch told us that "this was the place"! Criss greeted us warmly and I knew she would become a friend. Through the process of almost a year, we made visits to the store and nearly wore out their website. Criss helped us through the whole process of furnishing our new home. Living out of town, we had nowhere to store the furnishings as they arrived, but Criss even helped us with getting our things to storage. On delivery day, it took most of the day to set up a whole house of furniture, and their team was great. As in any situation, we had one piece that later had a failure. If you want anything that resembles customer service, do not shop at Back at the Ranch. I had visited Back at the Ranch prior and was never acknowledged, much less helped. When we did purchase an item from Back at the Ranch we were treated rudely, the item did not arrive on the date discussed at the time of purchase and we picked up our item from the other location (over an hour away) instead of...
