I waited a couple of days to complete this review. There are a couple of pharmacy employees I interact with normally who do a wonderful job and they are always kind and helpful. However, after this experience I will NEVER spend money at Walgreens again. I am on a medication that I need in order to be able to work while being on my feet all day. I was born with a birth defect, a club foot. I'm medically not advised to work on my feet, but bill collectors do not care about my problems so... I have gotten my prescription for this medication from Walgreens for YEARS with very minimal issues. I found a new provider that is half the cost of my previous provider, so of course I am elated because this is a huge expense for me, and was especially so before I recently got better health insurance. I do telehealth visits with my providers sometimes for routine visits because I work at a public school. This allows me to see my doctor without having to miss work. They sent my prescription to Walgreens as usual. I went to pick it up as usual. The pharmacist REFUSED to fill it. I did not get his name because I was too busy PANICKING about not having medication I need to function on a day to day basis. He is a very white, very bald, very ignorant man though, so really, ya can't miss him. This is a medication, again, that I have been taking for years, and gotten from Walgreens for years, so I have no idea who this man thinks he is by trying to convince me "there's this new law in Alabama that says I can't fill this because you had this appointment via telehealth and not in person." Excuse me, what?!? Being that I take this medicine, I keep myself updated and we'll informed on any laws surrounding how it is dispensed. There is no such law. There is, however, a law that says you must see a Dr in person at least once every 12 months, which I do. I see him every 60 days. I am not a drug addict trying to bamboozle the pharmacist. 🙄 There are, however, TERRIBLE side effects that are DEBILITATING if I suddenly stop taking this medication. Since the pharmacist is SO up-to-date on the "law" I would think he would be aware of this. He did try to send me to another Walgreens location where he said I had a refill that I never picked up. I guess he wanted to get rid of me, but when I told him I haven't even been to that Walgreens in years, because I moved, and he looked into it again and said "oh, nevermind, it's been over 6 months, so they won't be able to do it." So, you were going to send me an hour away for someone else to turn me away? And, you're okay with them giving me the prescription, but you can't do it? He could see on the screen right in front of him that it was a refill of the same medication I've taken, as directed by a health professional with more credentials that what he has, for years! He seriously made me feel like a criminal, in a situation where I am already uncomfortable. My birth defect is the last thing I want to talk about to a person who is already judging me. This has a happy ending though, no thanks to this arrogant pharmacist who thinks SO highly of himself. I called my provider and had them cancel the prescription and they sent a new prescription to a different pharmacy. I picked it up this morning with ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM! And they had it done quickly with smiles on their faces. That's kind of crazy, considering there is "this new law in Alabama..." 🙄. Walgreens, what a JOKE! Employ pharmacists who knows the ACTUAL law and have the ability to have empathy for someone who is already struggling with their health. I already spoke with someone at corporate. They're "recording it and looking into it." I hope no one else has to go through this. And thank GOD for my new pharmacy. Thanks to Walgreen's negligence and ineptitude regarding Alabama law, they gained a very loyal customer in myself and my family, who will no longer shop at or use Walgreens for their prescriptions. DO BETTER... With your next customer, because you won't get the opportunity to stress me out like...

Your Corporate Office!! ...I was even kind enough to read this post into recorded call....must burn you up something fierce that those pesky doctors can tell you what to do...
Read moreI go here often the service is prompt there's not a long wait. I enjoy going here looking at the sales purchasing items I need around the home at a discount. They usually have good prices on soda and water. Items around your home that usually have a good sale on those. They offer the flu shot and by getting one you can also help someone who cannot afford one to get one at no cost. I like to go and get my bonus rewards points. They add up for something I would be purchasing anyway at a good price. I usually purchase items that are on sale in the paper and plus you can add coupons to them and get a...
