The worse experience by far! First and foremost the service from the waiter Mya and waitress which I did not get a chance to get her name but she has tats and boy cut hair they were awesome. As far has the experience the food was alright the atmosphere ok. The issue was it was really hot inside we saw a fan in the corner that was facing out towards everyone and these two females that was sitting next to it decided to face it directly to them. I get up from my table that was across the fan to face it back to where it was originally facing which was the entire room. Then one of the two ladies got up and made it face them again so my co worker then gets up from our table to face the fan back to the entire room again. The two ladies begin to say that it was facing that way since they got there which was a total lie since my party was there before them. They began to say things as if they felt threatened like how ghetto we are and they felt harassed. Being the bigger and better persons we walked back to our table and asked a waitress to resolve the issue which was not the awesome ones we had serving us when we first got there. The waitress did agree that the fan should be facing the entire room and went over to the two ladies. Not sure what was said between them but they had the owner get involved Anna Johnson which then I believe they played victim. The waitress informed our party would need to close out and leave. We then said if we have to leave then they should too Just to be fair. Anna the owner ended up seating the two ladies elsewhere which was at the bar so we thought it was resolved and we can continue to patronize her business. We decided to order a round of drinks which the waitress took as time goes by almost 30 min we started to wonder where our drinks were so we flag Anna down which she then tells us she cancelled our order and we can leave. I asked her why? and she continued to say we were basically there too long which I understand she can refuse service to anyone but the fact you had us sitting there thinking we were going to get served again is very unprofessional and unbusinesslike of her. What also was not right she had the two ladies continue to stay. I felt she either knew them or just didn’t like us (locals) being there. I highly recommend we not support an establishment like that. I have never in my entire life had such an unpleasant experience!!! Over a silly issue of a dang fan!!!!!
Respectfully, not a FAN of...
Read moreFound this place while adding local shops and restaurants on Instagram. We're new to the island and I'm glad we found this place early. Despite being absolutely slammed, we were welcomed by all (including the very busy chef) and never wanted for anything. Kids loved it. Their Reuben is probably the best I've ever had. The goodfella was delicious, chips and fries out of this world. Props to the server who gave my son a tour of the brewery and explained how it all worked (the restaurant was slammed and I'm sure he had more important things to do). We'll be back!
Been a year, and I've been back to Carabao a few times. I've always found it slightly expensive, but worth the money if we're down that way running errands. Yesterday I dropped by with my wife and son. We paid $70 for lunch, including the 15% tip. One entree and three appetizers, two cokes and a ginger beer. The reuben fries had large pieces of corned pastrami that had to be cut into pieces to enjoy properly, the meat was dry as well. The bratwurst fries were okay but nothing to write home about. We also have to order at the bar (no more table side service) and bring our own drinks, napkins, forks, etc to the table. The cokes were cans brought out of a warm cabinet and put over some ice, not exactly what I expected. Overall I'm less impressed with Carabao than this time last year. Guam is expensive and carabao has always been a kind of novelty place (not a day-in, day-out lunch stop) but $70 for subpar food and having to do some extra work on top of that? Not impressed at all. It will be a while...
Read moreThis place has the potential to be a really great Brewery but because of the staff and customer service it completely ruined my experience. I've been here about four times now and three of the four times I've experienced horrendous customer service and vibe from the staff. On pizza night it took two and a half hours to get the pizza with the food truck outside. Totally forgivable if I didn't have any other issues since we were waiting on food truck. Another time I was told to make my beer order or get out of the way because they were so worried about the next customer (one person behind us). It seems like each time I visit, I feel unwelcome. I just don't think these people grasp what the island of Guam is about and what the vibe should be. They come off as mean and/or condescending and put off a vibe that is from the heart of New York City where they could care less about you and what your experience is when visiting this establishment. I will say their beer is very good and better than the Guam Brewery in Tumon. However if you're looking for a solid vibe do yourself a favor and just go to the Taphouse Brewery in Tumon. By the way, what kind of brewery...
