Slingstone Coffee+Tea — Restaurant in Guam

The drive thru in the Agana shopping center was the worst experience. I went there to get a quick coffee. Ordered and the girl took my card. I thought about getting a bite to go also so I asked if they sell food here. I was asking because it’s smaller than the other slingstone locations so wasn’t sure if they were making food or have them available . I asked and she didn’t even look at me. If you talking to someone good communication skills is giving a sign of acknowledgement so I thought she didn’t hear me. I said “excuse me and she finally looked me. Now I have her attention I was about to repeat myself . With the most nastiest attitude, very angrily, her eyes wide open as if she was about to jump out and fight someone said “hold on”. I said oh wow sorry. She started telling me the menu with a nasty attitude. At this point I just wanted to leave so I just said I’ll take the coffee. She went in the back and I guess she said something to her friend and she picked her head out. At this point I regretted even buying the coffee. I felt uncomfortable and when I got my coffee, went to work and just thru it away. If you have that kind of nasty attitude with me imagine what you did making that coffee....

(This is for the new location) Sling Stone Coffee is a great concept that just needs the bugs worked out! Sling Stone Coffee is located on the busiest street on Guam (Route 1.) They are a drive thru coffee shop which is a great concept but the logistics still need to be worked out. It took me 24 mins to get my coffee and i had to wait at the window for 5 mins because their menu is to far up at the service window i can't see what i want to order till i get to the window, which in turn holds up the other cars behind me. They need to push their menu a little back. Also they are to slow if you are going to have a drive-thru coffee shop you need to have speed as well, because people choose a drive-thurs so they can move in and out in under 10 mins. Their saving grace would have to be that their drive thru coffee so far is the best on the island i have had. But this is the honey moon stage i will revisit in 2 months and see where they stand. If they get their speed down this might be my go to every morning before work. All and All needs some work, but...

Really cool concept for a drive-up/drive through coffee stand. Prices are decent, baristas are polite and awesome, and product is great. I get their 32oz cold brew with almond milk, it's perfect every time (Thank you Tia and the other baristas there!) The drive thru wait can be a bit slow sometimes, but they do recognize this, and come out to personally take your order so it's ready when you drive up. They do have food items, but not sure if any are vegan/plant based, so I'll have to ask next time through. If that's not your lifestyle, or diet choice, it looks like they have you covered!
