This is as good as Jiu-Jitsu gets. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a work trip to guam, and my coworker and I decided we wanted to make the most of our stay. Naturally, my co-worker coaxed me into competing in my first bjj tournament ever. The tournament experience was amazing, but pales in comparison to how amazing the Carlson Gracie gym treated us. From day one, the owner, Gabe, took us in as part of the family. I have grappled and trained for a large portion of my life. Naturally, that has led me to meet a lot of really special, amazing people. This experience was definitely towards the top of my list. I really can't stress how amazing these people are. Absolutely top notch Jiu-Jitsu. Explained and coached at the highest level I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The atmosphere was so amazing that I truly wish I could have stayed longer and continued to cultivate the relationships and knowledge I had gained. This is the best bjj gym I've ever been to, and it has opened my eyes to how amazing the bjj community can be. Two months after arriving on island... we were in search of a sport/hobby for our daughters to try. We discovered Carlson Gracie Guam to be such a warm and inviting community that we have rarely missed a day.. Our time is limited on Guam, but our family is so blessed to have met the amazing instructors and people of Carlson Gracie Guam.

I have seen exponential personal growth within all 3 daughters of mine. Their confidence and self-esteem has been built up through the instruction of Gabe and his amazing team of coaches. I appreciate the discipline, work ethic and respect that has been developed through attending classes Mon-Sat for my kids and I. We have such an appreciation for Gabe and his team. I always say that it takes a “village” to raise a child and Carlson Gracie Guam Jiu Jitsu Academy is a huge part of my children’s lives here in Guam.. they’ve become ohana and we could not have been more happy to be a part of this...

I've had my son enrolled in the Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu gym for a little over four months, and it's been a wonderful experience. I chose this gym specifically for its warm environment and emphasis on teaching discipline and technique without overly focusing on winning. They promote giving your best effort, coupled with practice makes improvement as a path to achieving goals and I love that approach.

This gym, and I have not surveyed a lot of gym, but Carlson Gracie has many young kids aged 4-7 which was a big plus for my wife and I it immediately allowed my son to feel comfortable day one. I would also like to share that he recently earned a Silver medal at the Mariana’s Open, his first competition, thanks to the outstanding coaching from Professor Gabe and his team.
